The cathedral is within walking distance of the mall and is just a block or so up the street from the state capitol building (another beautiful, architectural gem and historic landmark).
I was able to briefly view the sanctuary thanks to the kind hearted gentleman who was locking up for the night.

If you take their "free" tour you will get a lot of information about the Capitol Building and will also get to go into the dome area where the view of the mountians and the streets of Denver are spectacular!
