I’ve been on multiple retreats with Run Wild. Iceland, Italian Dolomites, Moab, Canadian Rockies, Sonoran Desert, each so well organized and unique. Trail running combined with like minded women, fabulous food, beautiful places to stay and mindfulness workshops, yoga, etc. This is a women run business for women and I can’t say enough good things about them.

We rented paddle boards for the family and went up to Ruedi Reservoir to explore. The price was good and the boards and equipment were great. Recommend the upgrade to the power inflater, it’s inexpensive and very helpful. Some of the instructions can be confusing so ask for clarification and directions before you set off. We did and it worked out fine. One note: daily rentals are due back in the late afternoon (4:30pm when we did it) so plan accordingly. It wasn’t a problem for us but if you’re scheduling for the day it’s good to know. Also, the pick-up and drop-off isn’t a staffed location, but a convenient spot off the highway where you’re met by one of the staff (owner?). Again, not a problem for us but good to know in advance. Renting paddle boards from Shaboomee was a great way for us to get out onto the reservoir and enjoy paddle boarding for the day! Recommended!

COLMADO is the local Dominican word for a bodega or grocery store. Marty Calkins knows the territory and guides you and your friends to some of the best rural colmado where you meet locals and enjoy a snack or a cold beverage. GREAT FUN!!
