My wife and I had a great stay at the Distillery Inn. The room was really modern and very well appointed. The two women running the hotel were great - super friendly and accommodating. Great location as well. Right next to the bike path.

So pretty the drive. The Black Canyon National Park area was gorgeous with Blue Mesa Reservoir gleaming in the sunshine. The rocky terrain beautiful with its browns and greens and little yellow colors here and there. The mountain tops had cool formations. I love this country with the different sceneries. This drove filled my heart with wonder and amazement. The bridge to cross the reservoir was cool. It looked so gorgeous sweeping around as we made our way to Gunnison from Montrose. No fishing from bridge. There’s no space to fish so I’m amazed people have to be told. The water glittered in the sun. A little low but beautiful nevertheless. This 205 mile drive which allows you to stop in Crested Butte, Gunnison, Montrose, Carbondale, Paonia, Marble and Redstone is beautiful. The landscape changes and is alternately green or brown. All of Colorado has to offer.

It was too crowded & the water levels were low. I’d go back again earlier in the day to see if the crowds are minimal & go in for sure.

This is a gem in a valley of gems. Brilliant architecture, with beams framing Mt. Sopris and the Crystal Valley. Friendly knowledgable reception. A quiet library room, strong on Japanese art. Wonderful collection of Jasper Johns works. As a person active in other art museums and collections, I give the Powers Art Center my highest marks. I also would tell my friends to note the well stocked little gift shop of Japanese objects.

A small family friendly rodeo that was fun for all ages. Well run, competitive contestants, good food trucks. Great choice!

great little theatre with world class talent. it's a gem in the middle of the parking lot- where creativity flourishes and people go to think outside the box by observing or to be empathetic by acting in a role of someone else

We found the trail with no problem and managed to hike the 2 1/2 mile ascent in passed the Hell Roaring Trail to the little bridge and waterfall. Other groups chose to stop at shorter distances and swim in the creek - the trail offers plenty of options for however much time you have. It is a beautifully maintained trail and has nice shade for when it's really hot out. It was a perfect couple of hours of work that earned us a stop at Slow Groovin BBQ up the road :)

My boyfriend and I were determined to make this hike. This was his fourth time to try.
It takes about 30 minutes to reach the trailhead from Carbondale. This trail takes you to the base of the summit of Mt. Sopris. From there you can continue another 4/12 miles to the summit if you are up for it. We did not. I would suggest you start early. We started at 9:30 and got back to the car at 4:15. However, we did move slowly and enjoyed the view. I do recommend that you wait until you are acclimated to the altitude before doing this as well as use hiking poles, and take water. The trail is an ascent with some steeper climbs with some leveling off for meadows but mostly very rocky. I had my knee replaced seven months ago and was able to make it fine with my poles.
You come to a pond first. The first Thomas Lake is about 10-15 minutes past that. It is beautiful! There is really no words to adequately describe it! The second lake is about 20 minutes or so on up the trail. This part of the trail is very rocky but so worth the time. The second lake is prettier than the first. The trail is marked moderate which I think is accurate. It is so worth it so see the views you get from up there, the wildflowers and groves and groves of Aspen and especially the lakes and Mt. Sopris. The trail is well marked and very popular. I recommend it if you want to really see some of the best Colorado has to offer.

This library is small but is a great place to relax and read. Lots of great books and comfortably spaced seating. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. There are also plenty of computers to use. I often go and find a seat in the sunny window and read! So thankful for this place.

Nice little area. Short hike/walk to waterfall area. Worth a look for sure. Quick access right on the side of the road. Worth a stop and look.

Great gated golf community in the Roaring Fork Valley. All ages with young children to retirees. You can own a home and NOT be a golfer or pay for a golf membership. We are "social members" and love the community of AG. Great employees and management.
