The National Historic District in Breckenridge is very cute. Lots of little shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the sidewalks are not maintained at all from the snow, so be prepared and walk carefully.

Easy drive over unpaved sometimes rough roads but views were nice. Just wished we caught the changing colors of the Aspens and other trees on the trails

Great, short hike just minutes from Breckenridge. It's an easy, loop trail with some amazing views. You start in the parking lot and end in the parking lot. Don't miss out on this awesome, free activity for everyone!

We have done this trip twice and it has been highlight of our vacations both times. We did this the week before Labor Day so we miss a lot of the crowds, which is really nice.

We were staying in Breckenridge and this time we decided to drive to Frisco and rent from one of the companies there. We wanted to take our time in Copper Mountain so by renting in Frisco we didn't have to rush back to catch a shuttle back to Breckenridge.

We have two girls 12 and 10 and this was not hard for them. This is a very accessible ride for all ages. The one challenge for our 10-year old was she was not used to a bike with hand brakes.

It's hard for me to do, but I recommend taking your time on the first half of the ride (up to Copper Mountain) and not to try and set any speed records. Otherwise, the trip will be over before you know it and you'll have missed a lot of great views and picture opportunities.

Copper Mountain was a lot of fun to take a break and check out all of the activities there. The conference center has a locker room with restrooms and a water filling station for your water bottles. There are lots of clean restrooms all around, but this was the only water filling station we found.

We recommend this trip to anyone who goes to the area with a few tips:
    - Bring and drink water
    - Pace yourself in Copper Mountain because you still have more riding to do
    - Wear layers that you can take off as the day warms up or just be ok with a chill in the early part of the ride

Completed climb of quandary peak on Monday. A hard but rewarding climb. We were surprised to see snow on the peaks as the sun rose! It made the climb a bit harder but beautiful. We took our time up and down, used much less h2o and food than expected. Weather was sketchy with fog, sleet, rain and sun all in the same trip. Did not see any mountain goats, but saw many Pikas and several mountain grouse. If you’re from a low level home be sure to train - 14k+ is not joke. Fun trip and views amazing.

It's a very short walk to get to the troll. We really enjoyed the snow covered trees and troll. We got some pictures and then walked the other trail as you exit back to the parking lot.

It’s cool knowing everything on one side flows to the Atlantic and the other side flows to the pacific. Little history lesson on the plaque on how the pass got its name

A great little trail just outside of Breckinridge. Reaching the lower lake took us up close to 1500 ft of ascent. The trail can get a little twisty and hard to follow at times, but with a steady trickle of other hikers, we found our way. The alpine lake is stunning and you get a lovely waterfall on the way as well. Take it all in and enjoy the crisp air and views as you move higher and higher.

Neat little park to wander around and get some history on Breckenridge. Also close to the ice rink and the Breckenridge Troll, so nice to be able to park and do a few things without having to drive.

This is a very pretty walk and the path extends along the river for a good ways and heads into a wooded area, you're walking behind some condos but right on the river. Nice scenic route or just sit by the river with a beverage and relax

As first timers to Colorado we had hear of the altitude sickness but had never experienced. Walked in with a couple headaches, pressure on chest and trouble breathing. Walked out much more relaxed! Very much reccomend even if you don't have symptoms. The staff was very knowledgeable and puts you at ease. Would definitely do it again

I visited here last year with my grandchildren. They were so excited to see each fairy display. It was a great adventure and kept the kids interested during the hike to the location.

Unfortunately the Town of Breckenridge has closed the trail due to overuse and in accordance with "leave no trace" requirements even though the area of disturbance was relatively small. Sad, it was one of the best free experiences for young children and families in the town. No replacement has been proposed.

My family and I went on this hike today. We have two kids, 14 and 12, and they could handle the hike with no problems. When you start off at the trailhead, it is a pretty steep incline for about a mile or so. Obviously, when you are hiking in the mountains you need to bring water and this hike is no exception. The first mile goes up a winding trail mostly in the shade of lodge pole pine trees. Once the trail ends, it opens up to a dirt road. You will have a 2 mile walk back downhill to the trailhead and parking lot. This part of the hike has great views of Breckenridge.

We started this hike right at noon and nobody else was on the hike which is perfect for distancing yourselves from other during the pandemic.

Bring a camera to take pictures.

Fun for the kids to find gold. Both found a little and thought they were millionaires. Requires a bit of focus to sift through the pans but interesting adventure.
