The mission was interesting. I liked that they acknowledged the land is Chumash and the mission is grateful the Chumash people are sharing it with them. Went to see the garden and roses. WRONG time of year. Definitely better to visit in late spring or summer if you want to see the sacred garden and roses.

This place is a hoot! Totally unexpected. Loved the huge fireplace, and the atmosphere is so cool! We were on a wine tour with a local guide who brought us here for one last stop on our tour. It took the cake!

Dinner at "Toma" was excellent. I'd recommend reservations. Small (maybe a 50 top). We had an excellent appetizer "Summer Blossoms", stuffed with goat cheese, pine nuts! The main course was the special "Pan seared halibut " We shall return!
Oh Oh almost forgot to give a shout out to Julien.. An excellent host/sommelier. Your kindness shown to the young graduate was appreciated ......delia

We took an early morning walk down the pier. There were several restaurants which weren't open yet. We stopped at a gift shop on the pier. They welcomed our dog. Local artists were setting up along the nearby sidewalk, and locals were jogging and biking along the sidewalk.

This was one of the prettiest places we went during our weekend visit to this lovely seaside town. This is a beautifully-landscaped park located on the sea. We chanced upon it as we wandered to the ocean to see what was there.

The view here is great with a little walkway to wander around. Best of all is Brophy’s which has an elevated view of the space and has delicious seafood.

We discovered this Santa Barbara beach as a result of a recommendation from a hotel clerk. It wasn’t the easiest to reach, but it was totally worth it. Located at the end of Santa Cruz Blvd. off of Shoreline Drive, you can park for free on Shoreline Drive and just walk down to the stairs. Don’t let the name fool you though, there are only about 250 steps to get to the bottom, but wear a good soled shoes because it does get slippery on the steps the farther down you go. You should also check the daily tide before you head out because during high tide you can’t even get down there. We went at 11am which was low tide and you could easily bring stuff and enjoy a few hours as high tide was not expected at 4:23 that day.

The beach itself is a bit unique as the photos will show. Not a ton of shells, but loads of unique rocks! And so many lobster and crab shells so clearly it’s a good location for predator food! The sand was ultra soft and its even, making it extremely walkable which is what we did!

Yes it was a bit tiring going back up the stairs, but you can take your time and we thought it was worth it for the stunning views and unique opportunity to walk down the cliffs and check out a gorgeous beach with very few visitors! We will definitely be back and plan to stay longer next time!

Beautiful views with limited seating but a poor value with small but expensive wine glass pours and tastings. If you want to go for the views it might be worth it, but touristy & often hard to find parking.

The ultimate sea caves kayak tour was fantastic but challenging. We are fit and active 44 year olds who spend a lot of time hiking and adventuring. We loved this tour. Our guides, Caco and Clay, were attentive to safety and knowledgeable about Santa Cruz Island. They kept our group moving at a good pace and checked in regularly to make sure we were ok. They made sure to educate us about the island's geography and oceanography between cave runs. Really loved it. If you choose this longer tour, warned that paddling into the wind is pretty difficult. Basically as soon as we left Scorpion Anchorage the sea got much more difficult to paddle in.

This was a fantastic wine tour option and Scott provided a great selection/varieties of wineries to visit. An absolute must do if visiting Santa Barbara for wine tasting. Great access to wineries not open to the general public. I could not recommend this enough. We will be back!

Great onboard service, good drinks, and some of the most stunning views I’ve ever seen. A very romantic charter if you’re with a significant other.

What a great trip! we did wine tasting in the Santa Ynez area, visited 3 wineries and tours the local points of interest. Our driver, Meredith, was REALLY knowledgeable about the history of Los Olivos and the Santa Ynez Valey, and also of the many locations where the movie Sideways was filmed. Once we got home we all decided to watch it again and it became a contest to see who could remember what. (Realize doing this after a wine tour added to the challenge!) We highly recommend Captain Jacks!

The views were indeed amazing and we did take so many photos and videos, like this prompt to write the review says.

After listening to Ear Biscuits and Rhett recommending this particular company–I think–my brother and I went whale watching while I was visiting him. Best experience ever. I don't think he was originally particularly excited about the idea, but he ended up loving it. We had an amazing time, saw humpback whales, a ton of dolphins and got swept away by the tour guide's explanation of the tour–he was honestly a highlight: both amusing and educational; standup comedy meets NatGeo documentary.

    100% recommend.
