Beautiful place to visit! Fun beaches, great restaurants and easy to access. Fun to take the ferry from San Diego with bikes and ride around the island. Lots of choices for places to relax and put your feet in the water.

We visited Coronado Beach numerous times. In a Saturday late afternoon before sunset, we parked car on the Tolita Avenue and walked down to the beach. Having caught a few moments before sunset, we also have taken some afterglow. Coronado Sunset is absolutely breathtaking. We then joined the line waiting for delicious ice cream.

It was a great location for night cityscape of San Diego. Parking is free for first 2 hours. I took some great pictures and met another great photographer from San Francisco taking night photos. The other people there were out fishing and real nice. The pier have restrooms, restaurants, and shops. The shops closed around 10pm.

Walked the length of the beach & it was so fun to see this dog beach at the end. If I’d had more time I would have loved to watch the pups playing more.

What can I say! It’s a parking lot for RVs & travel trailers. But you’re right on the beach. You must be a self contained RV or travel trailer. The restrooms and shower facilities are closed and locked at 7:00pm. That includes the main gate. Yes that means no entry or exit between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am. But you’re right on the beach. The showers require tokens. For a $1.00 you get 2 tokens. One token gives you 2 minutes of shower time. There is an extra fee for parking in the beach row. And the sunsets are awesome! Did I say you’re right on the beach!

Very shady, peaceful area with clean, cozy bathroom facilities and faucets. Perfect for just strolling, picnics, or just relaxing. I parked here and used this area as a base for my walking tour of the nearby restaurants (where I had a nice salad & almond milk latte). Beautiful area and very friendly people!

This memorial is extremely personal to me as my father is amoung those listed hero. Charles Edward Brooks.

Thank you for honoring him and all those he served with.

I visited many years ago but it wouldn’t allow me to put the proper date.

Visited during our recent trip to San Diego.

Easy drive over the Coronado Bridge from downtown.

Offers some lovely views of the bridge and downtown San Diego.

Lot of street parking in the area...we were able to get a spot closeby along Orange Avenue. There is also a free lot nearby at First Street and D Avenue...a few minute walk away.

    Very friendly and safe area.

This the place that I proposed to my wife some 39 years ago. It is a quiet park that is on the bay side. It will always hold a special place in our heart, especially since she said "Yes!"

This is a win-win in every respect. We never miss an opportunity to stop at the "Second Hand Prose" resale book-shop around the corner from the library but the library itself is a fantastic museum/time capsule with some very special exhibits and historical documents.

This time around, we spent time looking at the miniature rooms exhibit and made our way into the historical Spreckels Reading Room. This beautiful building circa 1909 is a community treasure. It is hard to imagine finding a more exceptionally wonderful library.
