Launched in July 2024, it is led by highly professional, kind and friendly staff. The boat, complete with living room with kitchen and bathroom, with local music or according to the guests' tastes, is suitable for families and friends who want to visit fantastic landscapes in fabulous places. Our villa was approx 0.5km from the beach and Methoni town so we visited Methoni bikes on our first day where we met the fabulous Aldona. She gave us other suggestions for day trips in and around Methoni and was SO FRIENDLY. We also met her son who had perfect English, like her. We strongly recommend Methoni bikes for anyone visiting the area. - Helga P1 contributionCaptain Alexandros was actually done for the day, when we came and asked for a fare to Sapientzas. What we got was far beyond any expectation. Cost-benefit ratio ist very fair and positive. With Captain Alexandros we felt like being with a friend that knows every rock and shows you the most beautiful places. Priceless!
We will remember those memories forever. On our layover day, we (five of us) arranged for a half-day cruise with Methoni Boats., primarily to Sapienza Island. Our guide (Petros) was fantastic and informative, the opportunities to walk the islands and swim were great and it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. - William SiuHong Kong, China35 contributionsWhile booking an extended private car transfer from Athens to Costa Navarino resort (3.5-hour journey), I chanced upon Messinia Ride to provide me a safe and reliable service. Not only did they provide my partner and I, a smooth journey, we were treated to a great discussion along the long road, which made the trip zip by very quickly. The luxury van we rode in, which had to pick-up our many luggage and golf bags, was clean and prompt. While George, the driver, and I, had a long conversation about everything there is about Greece, the service was safe and professional, and we arrived at The Romanos resort at Costa Navarino in time for a late lunch. During the long ride, we learned that the private taxi service was only the tip of the iceberg, in terms of this family-run business, in promoting Greek tourism to the world, as they also operate a sea view B&B hotel (Archilles Hill Hotel) and a town center hotel (Archilles Hotel) in Methoni, Messinia, in southwestern Greece. We did not stay at the above-mentioned hotels, but it was certainly very interesting learning about the history of the region, the olive orchards and olive oils, the beautiful coastline with jaw-dropping sunsets, the friendly local people, and the delicious and enticing local authentic Greek cuisines, that I have noted them all into my journal of "places worthy of a return visit" in the near future to bring along my group of family and friends.
On the returned trip from Costa Navarino to Athens International Airport, it was George's father who gave us the chance to meet him in driving us, and he taught me a lot more to know about olives, including gives us samples of their family olive oils to take back home. We were delighted to have received such a gift, as in my family, we cherish fine virgin olive oil; and I worry my family will now be spoiled and will never go back to the inferior blended olive oils we find in our local stores.
We look forward to meeting the Georgopoulos again in the near future and we absolutely will HIGHLY RECOMMEND to our family, friends, and anyone, to book with Messinia Ride for land transfer services, hotel bookings, authentic Greek dinners, and guided tours of local olive orchards, historical sites, beaches, and sunset tours on land and by sea, as this place in Greece is absolutely magical and stunning!Written 17 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
