- Victoria M1 contributionWe visited Pushkar for Holi colours festival. Manish was so good at communicating and helped us to arrange the tour (even though we booked on last minute, the night before). We also travelled from Jaipur to Pushkar for the tour and he made sure to clearly share the meeting place and wait for us. We had a GREAT time with 4 other western tourists, walking through the crowds for Holi. He also took us to the techno parties at Pushkar Mela (desert). I’d recommend Manish to show you the spiritual temples, to help keep you cool and energised with chai, sugarcane juice and to tell you interesting knowledge. We learned a lot about the incarnations and vehicles of the gods. We paid 300 INR extra for a guide in Pushkar and didn’t have a guide for the mosque in Ajmer. He took us to many temples and explained in detail about the different religions that are prominent here in Pushkar. He was happy to answer questions. After seeing the sunset across the lake we went to witness the amazing fire ritual. This was a truly stunning experience. If you want a unique experience and to find out about Hinduism in an upbeat way from an expert, this is the walk for you. We spent the day there to see the temples, the markets, and even stayed for sunset, and he waited the whole time !
