- deanneorManitoba, Canada5 contributionsMy husband and I are AOW divers and went on a two-tank dive with Ocean Diving in early January 2020. We booked out dive through the location at Emotions Resort in Juan Dolio and went diving from the Boca Chica dive centre. The staff person at the Emotions diving kiosk was very helpful and professional and caught a mistake in our booking charges which was corrected immediately. Baptiste was our divemaster and he was very professional and attentive. The equipment and dive boat was in good condition. Our first dive was the Catuan wreck and the second the Aquarium Reef. The wreck is in good condition and we did a small swim-through. The reef was lively with marine life and had interesting coral formations we had never seen before.
One note for Canadian clients, the Ocean Diving website notes that payment is accepted in Canadian currency; however this is not the case and it is best to pay in USD or ROP, otherwise there is an additional 10% fee for credit card charges. That aside, our experience with Ocean Diving was very positive and found them to be a reputable, fun and professional group. Antonio and Ilianol were a great driver/guide duo. They arrived on time in the morning, the tour was interesting and informative, and the lunch provided was delicious! The monkeys were so cute! - Cecilia C1 contributionRichard Badia, Javier, and Rene were excellent. I had not dived in 3 years and took a refresher course with Javier and Richard, both were excellent instructors. They were patient with me in the water. I am super glad it did it again.
