Makasa was very responsive and managed to coordinate a wonderful safari and Zanzibar experience with short notice. Makasa made some recommendations based on our interests and group ages and we had a wonderful time! The safari was a once in a lifetime experience and we thoroughly enjoyed the Zanzibar beaches as well.
What a relief that we didn't have to figure out all the details ourselves, making this a true no-stress holiday!

Get there early, and you will have the time of your life!
As of 11am, it is likely that it will be highly crowded.
My team and I got there early, and it was amazing.
Everyone got several rounds with the swing.
Everyone got to swim to their satisfaction before it got crowded.
    Floater fee: 5,000 TZSH
    Water goggles fee: 10,000 TZSH
    Lunch 10,000 to 15,000 TZSH.
Menu: Roasted beef, roasted mutton, chips, Ugali, greens, eggs...etc
Be patient because we ordered at 10 am, and the order was still delayed after it got crowded.

    Definitely must do!
We went to Nierere National park and it had been amazing, thanks do David, CEO of Asante Bibi, our amazing driver Matata and out other guide (we called her Gloria, but probably a mistake from us)

We were 4 and I would like to specify the initial context. We booked another safari while we were back in Italy (unfortunately we did not find Asante Bibi from there) and in the same morning we were supposed to live the tour operator told us they had a serious problem and we could not go anymore! We started to look for other tour operators to leave on the same day and David (at 6 am local time!!!) told us “ok sure we can go!”. He personally came to pick us up with Matata at our hotel in Dar es Salaam to start our adventure. After about 5 hours drive we made it to the park and we did a boat safari in the afternoon while on the day after we did the jeep safari spending the full day the park. On third day we visited a Masai village and then we left perfectly on time to make it to our ferry to Zanzibar.

During the safari we saw many animals observing them very closely. A GREAT plus has been that we slept in a local lodge close to the village and Gloria has been super nice and took us around to see a bit the life there at night. Our walk finished by listening Gloria trying the songs at the church with her group. It has been AMAZING!!!

I was warmly welcomed by two lovely ladies Joy & Sarah . I had massage & waxing which was well done and relaxing . Only thing is we could use more privacy in the rooms especially for waxing and the wax was rather hot . But overall it’s well kept , very clean and good staff. Thank you Lisa for your prompt response and services .

We used Kilimanjaro taxis on 3 occasions whilst in Tanzania. Easy to book via email. They turned up on time. The drivers were courteous and knowledgeable. I would certainly use them again.

I spent an afternoon with other german medical volunteers at Emanuel’s shop and it is safe to say we all had a GREAT time.
From the moment you pass through the door you immediatly notice the shop was built with a lot of care and dedication. Every singe piece of jewelery and every painting is very creative and one of a kind. Not only you get to explore everything, you also get to make your own jewelery and so there’s something for every taste. But the Highlight of this visit was definitely Emanuel himself. Emanuel is a great guy - very passionate about what he does, a great storyteller with a very interesting life so far and also a very sharp sense of humour. We spent over 3 hours in his shop just exchanging stories, making souvenirs to take back home, laughing and listening to afro beats and we would do it all over again.
If you are in Moshi, definitely pay Emanuel and his shop a visit, get to know him, and I promise it will be worth your while!

David was an incredible help after we missed our flight in Arusha, stepping in as our personal tour guide and travel coordinator.

He spent an entire day showing us around Arusha at a very reasonable price, taking us to the Cultural Heritage Center, Twiga Brewery, and Baraka Coffee Farm. He made numerous calls to organize our day seamlessly and kept us entertained with great conversation throughout.

He also arranged a last-minute safari to Tarangire National Park with a guide and drove us back to Arusha Airport on our final day. Funny, intelligent, excellent english, and a pleasure to be around, David is the perfect choice for any driving or touring needs in the Arusha/Kilimanjaro area. Highly recommend—10/10!

Altezza is hands down the best, from start to finish! When we first reached out, Sophie was quick to respond and provided the most detailed information. Between her help and all of the resources available on their website, we had very few questions. By the time we arrived in Tanzania, we felt fully prepared for what was to come each day.

We started with a 3-day safari with Cathbert, he was phenomenal!! He is so knowledgeable and passionate, and his love for nature and teaching others is a true blessing.

We then did the 7-day Machame Route and we couldn't have asked for a better group of guides (Albert, Regis, Israel, Starson, Mark, and Gaudiance). They made sure each and every one of us made it to the summit, while keeping a positive and upbeat energy throughout our climb. We arrived to camp each day with everything set up and the most delicious food waiting for us. We even had a Christmas dinner and celebration the night of summit. The porters and team went above and beyond!!
We rented some of our gear and everything was clean and in great shape. We really appreciated the gear check with Doris the night before we left, super helpful and comforting knowing we had what we needed. Thanks to the entire Altezza team for making our dream trip come true! I would 100% book with Altezza again!

Our Kilimanjaro experience via the Lemosho route was amazing. Our two guides Goodluck/Edward and Peter did a great job getting us all the way to the Uhuru Peak. They really know the mountain well and when to walk in which pace. The entire crew were fun to be around in camp. We felt very safe the entire time. We can highly recommend climbing Mt. Kili with Zara Tours and especially with Goodluck and Peter as guides. It was an experience of a lifetime.

We did the 7-Day Lemosho Route in November 2024 as a group of six and everything was great. We had an amazing hike with Kilimanjaro heroes adventures and especially our three guides David, David and GoodLuck. All the porters were amazing too and Mayo was a great cook. All of them are the true heroes and make it possible for everyone to summit the Kilimanjaro. Thank you all for making this amazing experience possible.

We had a fantastic experience with Pristine Trails! Their guides and porters were friendly, professional, and worked very hard to make sure our group was safe and comfortable for the entire trek. I highly recommend Pristine Trails for anyone considering Mt Kilimanjaro….you will not be disappointed!

Gladys Adventure & Safari is THE company to do a Kilimanjaro trek with. I joined their open group with a friend on the Machame Trek at the beginning of January and am so glad that I chose them. They pay attention to detail, have great service and will do their upmost best to get you to the summit. They are also great fun! Their trekking crew were fantastic. We had Erick as the head guide and Stephen, Innocent and Patrick as the Assistant Guides. Throughout the trek they made sure we were OK, assisted us with our gear and along with the rest of the crew motivated us all the way to the top. As an experienced traveller I can without hesitation recommend Gladys to anyone wanting to trek Kilimanjaro. Thank you to all at Gladys - I had an incredible experience :) Waka Waka Bang Bang! One tip for anyone doing the trek - upgrade your mattress - it will make a difference!
