We had a perfect safari with Makasa-guide Humphrey. Thanks to Humphrey we did not only see everything and more than we expected (including the Big Five and part of the Great Migration), but also we enjoyed a pleasant and safe stay in this beautiful country. Humphrey is well educated and experienced in nature, so we learned a lot. Highly recommended!

We did a 5 day safari trip of the three northern National Parks with Ali as our guide and he really found the animals. Everything went very smoothly. The lodges/hotels/tents were very nice. Clean and the staff was great at all the places. Only thing I wish was that they allotted more time to the crater. Food was great too. We saw the big five and so many more animals. I was so happy that I picked them. I would chose them again. Safari vehicles were clean, and in good shape.

Monkey adventures provided us with the best memories of our life. Eddie and Gasper made the whole trip stress-free with their humorous and caring personality. They were amazing! Our stomach engineer cooked the most delicious meals and Baby face made sure all our smallest needs were met. WE couldn’t have made it to the top without the support of our wonderful team. We are very thankful for the amazing experience and ever-lasting memories. We highly recommend going with the same team!

African Scenic Safaris is hands down the best choice for Kilimanjaro Climbing adventures! I recently embarked on a 7-day Machame route journey with them, and it was nothing short of incredible.

Their experienced guides and porters made the trek smooth and enjoyable. "Polepole to the Top" is not just a slogan; it's their philosophy, ensuring your safety and acclimatization every step of the way.

I do recommend African Scenic Safaris enough for your Kilimanjaro Trekking Trip.

It was an amazing adventure, tough at times, but totally worth it!

Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures are a small company, very professional & welcoming, from the first point of contact to the last.
The trekking team that helped me make my dream come true were all fantastic; always upbeat, with great morale & a smile.

My guide, Gasper, helped me so much. He explained everything to me in a way that put me at ease, he guided me with great knowledge & always with high morale & he shared loads of interesting information throughout the trek.
He also changed the route plan from 8 days to 7 days, at my request, which enabled me to have a walking partner for the Lemosho route. This made my trek all the more memorable.

David, my day to day guy, provided my water & food & anything else I needed. Again he did it all with a smile & great manners. I was pleased he joined Gasper & I to the summit as I enjoyed both of their company.

Abuu is a fantastic cook, everything tasted so good & was beautifully prepared (I was just sorry that my appetite was never high enough to eat it all). He deserves a lot of praise for his skills, especially in difficult camp conditions.

Also a big thanks to the amazing porters, Wilson, Ramadhan, Eliya & Budikah, who made me feel welcome & all worked so hard to help me reach my goal.

This was an experience of a lifetime.

    Thank you Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures.

We started planning our trip to Tanzania about six months before our actual trip.
Benito, a Zara representative worked with us from the beginning to the end. In addition to being a wonderful writer which made our imagination about the trip go wild :) he was extremely responsive, creative, flexible, and caring about our well-being.
He met us on the evening we arrived in Tanzania and made sure everything that was planned was actualized. We have had many individualized tours in the past but this one was one of the best. Everything worked exactly as planned.
Our driver and guide, and now friend, was Issa. He was with us the whole week while on Safari. He is a safe driver and very knowledgeable about everything we were about to see and experience. He went out of his way to make sure our experience was safe and comfortable. Always making sure in every hotel, camp, and restaurant that there was fish on the menu (we don't eat meat). Waking us up early or late to go see the specific animals we wanted to see. He really cared about us and we felt we became family.
We visited Lake Maniara, Lake Ayasi, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire.
We visited some Tanzanian tribes and we fell in love, especially with the Hadzade who are still able, with all the pressure on them, to keep their way of life. We visited the Maasai and fell in love with their friendly children. After the safari part of our trip, we flew to Zanzibar. One of the most beautiful islands with the most white sand and the warm water of the Indian Ocean. Benito, the Zara representative also arranged this part of the trip.
Overall, an experience of a lifetime!!! The people, nature, and the animals in their natural habitat took our breath away!!! Thank you, Benito, Issa, Zara tour employees, and all the other Tanzanian people we met and befriended on our tour.
    2 suggestions for improvement:
    1. Most of the hotels we stayed at are Zara Tour establishments. A fact that drove some of the cost down. Most were beautifully located but needed to take more care of the details. Problems with water pressure. No screens on the windows to be able to open the windows (when no air conditioning is available), or just a broken window.
    2. Because we stayed at their establishment, at times that meant a waste of a whole day to get us to their hotels that were not exactly on our route.
We highly recommend Zara tours. Maybe one day we will be back again.

The trip was amazing! We had a few minor hiccups due to some communication difficulties but overall it was incredible. Our guides for Kilimanjaro were the best. Our lead guides name was literally Good Luck. The Safari was great as well. We did stay on Pemba which was beautiful but I think a bit overpriced. When we got to Tanzania Joel was our point man and was fantastic. I wish we had communicated with him earlier as he runs the day to day operations there and had some great information regarding details for the hike.

If I can give this a 6 star review, I totally would!

We arrived in Tanzania on our wedding anniversary and were greeted by Cynthia at the airport and taken to our hotel where there was a beautiful surprise waiting for us.

We met our guide, Mohammed, the day before the hike for a briefing. He was kind, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He checked our clothing and decided that I needed an extra jacket for summit day, which we rented for an additional USD 15.

Joachim gave us a walking tour of Moshi and helped us find the Parish Priest so we can go to a Catholic Vigil Mass and get a dispensation for missing Sunday Mass on our 8-day hike.

We started our hike on 1 Oct with Mohammed as our Lead Guide and Nelson as the Assistant Guide. Brian, Zila, Ayubu, Fanuelly, Emmanuel, Felix, Shukuru, Dickson, Tony, Ramadhan, Ben, and Husseini were the most amazing, encouraging and kind porters. They would come back for our backpacks and walk with us and remind us to drink water when they were carrying our day packs for us. Also, I have no idea who to credit for this, but we always had these amazing camping spots where we didn't feel crowded and had amazing views.

Jafari was our chef (and magician). How he managed to make us popcorn and pizza in the middle of nowhere, I will never know.

We went on a 3 day safari with Said, who's command of English was amazing, he even reminded us that the wildebeest was not to blame for Mufasa's death, it's all on Scar. He was able to point out and explain interesting and amazing facts about every animal you can think of.

This was truly an amazing 2 weeks in Tanzania. Asante sana to everyone at Popote :)

My sister and I had a fantastic climbing experience doing the 7 day Lemosho route. The guides were incredible, so kind, experienced and professional. We were blown away by the whole team’s ability to work together and everything was well organized.

We went in December of 2022 (I know - very overdue, wasn't able to go back earlier than May 2023) and did the 8-day Lemosho route

Peak Planet was phenomenal. Our guides (especially our lead guide, Msuri) were phenomenal at what they did and were also very kind.

    Safety
They were very good about checking in and knew when to call it for one of the people on our trip (early on on the ascent day). At one point, my wife was feeling very lightheaded and they kept us company for a few minutes to have some food and then a guide carried my wife's backpack for awhile on the ascent day. We would not have been able to get to the top without that piece of help. They really do everything they can to get you to the top but also know when to call it if things aren't going well.

    Climb
The guides took a pace that seemed slow but was on purpose and got us everywhere we needed to get to (I say that as a positive). They did this to get as many people as possible (11/12 for our group) to the top - not to get there in record time. If your goal is to have the best chance of making it to the top, you should go with Peak Planet.

    Stays+Food
This is what you'd hope for. I can imagine it could be more glamorous, but we weren't there to be pampered, and there was absolutely nothing uncomfortable. There were even two birthdays on our trip and they made a cake for each (I have no idea how they did this at that altitude). The food was also good (sometimes really good). Outside of one porridge we had for part of two of the meals, I really liked all the food.

    Overall Experience
They did a perfect job. From start to finish, they were professional, kind, and wonderful hosts. I would fully recommend. If you're lucky enough to get Msuri as your lead guide, he is the ultimate leader - calm, confident, and knows his s***. Have fun!

I've done Meru trek in March with Ascend Tanzania; Amos and his team were amazing throughout the trek and provided invaluable support. Everything was planned to the smallest details, the crew supported us all the way to the top. Can't wait for the Kilimanjaro with them.
