- Rebecca G1 contributionMakasa was very responsive and managed to coordinate a wonderful safari and Zanzibar experience with short notice. Makasa made some recommendations based on our interests and group ages and we had a wonderful time! The safari was a once in a lifetime experience and we thoroughly enjoyed the Zanzibar beaches as well.

Our visit was very educational on both ends. He was very gracious to spend so much time with us to select the stones that were right for us. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about tanzanite. He spent an entire day showing us around Arusha at a very reasonable price, taking us to the Cultural Heritage Center, Twiga Brewery, and Baraka Coffee Farm. He made numerous calls to organize our day seamlessly and kept us entertained with great conversation throughout.
He also arranged a last-minute safari to Tarangire National Park with a guide and drove us back to Arusha Airport on our final day. Funny, intelligent, excellent english, and a pleasure to be around, David is the perfect choice for any driving or touring needs in the Arusha/Kilimanjaro area. Highly recommend—10/10!Written 1 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KTM1 contributionI did a serengeti trip with my sister in law and we had one of our best times on this trip. Huzeifa from Zaf Tours worked closely with us and accommodated all our changes and demands swiftly and easily. The car and guide provided on the trip was excellent! The lodge booked for us was amazing as well. It gave an authentic wildlife experience. The first night we had a lioness right outside our tent which is going to be a memory that will last us a lifetime. Serengeti had been on our bucket list for so long and Zaf tours really made that dream come through!Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Salim Al HarthyMuscat, Oman9 contributionsMangi, our guide was brilliant. We met him by chance but it was the best thing we did to use his services. He is immensely knowledgeable about the area and its people and culture and was very helpful and friendly. The traditional Coffee roasting experience is unforgettable. We also enjoyed nature and the waterfall. High recommended to visit the area and make sure you contact Mangi to guide you during your visitWritten 25 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jenny MCoolangatta, Australia15 contributionsWe weren’t sure what to expect but what an amazing adventure. We had the awesome Joseph Temba as our guide and he provided an awesome time for us. He’s extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions (I had a lot), navigated the terrain like a pro, knew all the spots to see the animals (we saw the big 5!) and the places we stayed all had beautiful staff with hot showers, yummy food and comfy beds each night. The ultimate professional and would recommend him to anyone else thinking about a safari in the Serengeti (just book it!)Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Curzio SRome, Italy1 contributionOur 6 days Tanzanian safari with Nafika Tours was an awe inspiring journey that connected us to nature in ways we never imagined possible. From the very first morning drive, we were immersed in the raw beauty of the Tanzanian wilderness. As we rolled through the tall grasses, we spotted our first herd of elephants, peacefully grazing and moving through the bush with an almost regal presence. As we continued, we encountered a pride of lions lounging lazily under a tree. There were several cubs among them, their playful antics bringing smiles to everyone in the group. It was incredible to see these majestic predators so close almost surreal as we quietly watched them interact in their natural habitat. Our safari guide’s (Edween & Ronald) expert knowledge of their behavior added depth to the experience, explaining how the lions’ social dynamics work and what their daily life is like. Their deep connection to the land and animals helped us appreciate the delicate balance of nature. Nafika team has always inspired us. And properly helped to enjoy the whole safari. We appreciate them a lot.Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Eduardo F10 contributionsSpent three days with Rashidi at the Ngorongoro crater and had the time of a life. Rashidi is an excellent guide. Not only can he spot the mammals, sometimes from kilometers away. But he can spot birds too. He can recognize the calls and finds them when they are hidden in thick bush. His English is great and he is knowledgeable about the land and people as well. We saw giraffes, lions, elephants, rhinos, serval cats, water buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, plus over 30 species of birds! Can’t recommend this company and Rashidi enough.Written 17 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Megan B4 contributionsWow wow wow - what a trip we had. We booked this back in January 2024 and Pedro was so helpful and responsive throughout the booking process. Later on we wanted to add a hot air balloon which was no issues whatsoever and organised very swiftly.
We arrived in Kilimanjaro and our bags never arrived. Lameck came to help straight away sorting it out with the airport staff. He stayed in touch with them throughout and got our bags delivered to the middle of Serengeti which was such a big help as we had no service and couldn’t speak the language.
Now for the trip - Lameck has a great eye for animals and can see from very far away which was insane.
We went on the four days three nights safari which is absolutely perfect. We took a several hour journey down to Lake Natron which was interesting after a 15 hour flight but once we arrived it was worth it. We did a hike up a waterfall which was very needed and then walked down to Lake Natron to see the flamingos we also got lucky and saw some baboons and zebras on route. We checked into our lovely glamping spot for the night. Food was lovely and the glamping spot was beautiful.
The next day we headed off to Serengeti another 5 hour journey but we got to see a lot of animals on the way. We then had a lovely lunch before entering Serengeti. We got to see a full pack of lions which we amazing, lots of Zebras, buffalo’s, giraffes, elephants and a cheetah. We then went to our stunning tented camping area in the middle of Serengeti. They had the bed all set up for our honeymoon with some wine which was really appreciated and our bags finally arrived. We hit the hay very early as we were up at 4 for the hot air balloon ride.
The hot air balloon ride was so surreal - we got so lucky on the drive there and saw a leopard out hunting a long with three lions. The company that organise the hot air balloon were amazing - the breakfast was stunning and they had a special cake for us for our honeymoon.
It was then time to head to Ngorongoro Crater. Magic. We saw lots of male lions and even saw a male lion protecting a female lion in heat. There was tons tons of zebras and wilderbeast. We were running out of time and still hadn’t seen a rhino. We went to a viewpoint on route to hotel and Lameck got the binoculars out and found one. Going above and beyond to make sure we saw the big five. We stayed in a lovely hotel that night and got a good nights sleep.
Next was our final day which we were very sad about. We went to Taringine Park were we saw a mummy lion feeding her two babies and a mummy elephant bathing her babies. It was just magical.
It was then time to go back to the airport. We loved every minute and can’t thank Lameck enough. He had so much information to share with us, a great eye and just so nice to spend our first few days of our honeymoon with. We will be forever grateful. Thank you!Written 3 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
