What travellers are saying
- JamesDublin, Ireland20 contributionsOrganised a short private safari with Altezza post Kili hike which was a great decision. Before travelling, Angelina was very responsive and supportive in developing a customised itinerary that maximised the activities to see while having time to relax. Settled on a two day Tarangire safari which was superb. Phillip my guide was super friendly , knowledgeable and provided detailed info and stories on all wildlife seen. The accommodation choice of the Simba lodge was superb and one of the best places I have stayed. It is the attention to detail and customer service that really stands outWritten 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Lucy P1 contributionWhile it was my wife and my first time in Africa, I cannot imagine a better experience than our Tanzania horizon Safaris trip. Our guide had over 10 years of experience and did a fantastic job getting us close to an amazing variety of animals (including 83 species of birds). You cannot imagine how interesting it is to see animals in their natural setting (including watching lions and hyenas hunting) until you have done it. We really enjoyed seeing the "Great Migration" of Wildebeest crossing the Mara river. The food was wonderful including freshly baked bread, wonderful soups, salad, lots of vegetables and savory meat dishes, and eggs made to order in the morning. The tents at the Nyumbas were very comfortable (including being provided hot water bottles for the higher elevation camps). Wonderful listening to the animal sounds during the night. Gibbs farm is a lush oasis with beautiful gardens and rooms. Every logistical data was flawless. Definitely one of the most enjoyable trips we have ever taken.Written 26 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- rafael3 contributionsPeter that owns Mama Africa Giftshop with his mother, is a perfect mediator between western cilture to the local culture.
From buying local art in a trustworthy price, to getting around in his car to visit local sites/attractions, or even just hang out at night for some football games, pool and karaoke.... nevermind what, he will take care of you.
If you come to Moshi, i can recommend to contact him for all the above or also for a very nice homstay gesthouse to sleep.
He has been living in UK.Written 11 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Florian1 contributionAwesome experience for a 1 Day trip around Materuni waterfalls and village for coffee making, the organization was perfect, the people who guide us were really lovely and the price was really affordable. - pablo1 contributionKaribu Adventure was everything we expected, and more. Nothing but raves for both our successful climb to Uhuru Peak and following five days safaris. We cannot say enough about lead guide Robert, assistant guides Arsenal and Gilbert and their entire teams. We were well fed, our medical conditions closely monitored, and were general attended to at every step. And the guide's depth of knowledge af the flora, fauna, geology and cultural history added depth to an already extraordinarily experience.
Robson, our Safari guide, eagerly shared his wealth of knowledge about the captivating parks and the lonely Tanzania in general. We felt that his experience and wisdom provided us with opportunities we may well have otherwise missed. And as a bonus, he could identify every birds we saw. Amazing. The company truck was comfortable and the tent camp accommodation were spectacular. Thank you Karibu Adventure. We couldn't have asked for more.Written 19 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - GrandTour231981Cedar Creek, TX6 contributionsBaraka and the entire Bantu Pori team were incredible. My sister and I chose the Machame 6 day route to climb Kilimanjaro. From the moment we landed to our taxi ride home we were taken care of. 7 days of tented trekking
no running water, no shower, no toilet, no electricity, no phone (for the moment i only have this one picture)
it was a reset. i think leaving every comfort behind was even more challenging than the hike itself my body is made for high altitudes, i am telling you my crew was great and took very good care of my wellbeing during the hike, my tent felt like a castle and i was treated like a Queen (asante!)
definitely an experience. also my first time on the african continent...
