- Maria B1 contributionAmazing experience! My partner and me did several excursions with them. They have a wide range of excursions to get to know all corners of Tanzania. We enjoyed Marangu, Coffee tour, Materuni waterfall, hot spring, Jipe Lake, safari in Tarangerie, Ngorongoro and Manyara lake. Thanks to the guides Chris, Jackson and Justo for their professionalism and to Ruth for organizing the trips and adapting to our needs. 100% recommended for sustainable tourism and support the NGO Tatu Project.Written 26 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Linda SLos Angeles, CA1 contributionWe were so fortunate to have found Inquisitive Africa and Godwin. A wonderful guy and such a personalized approach! His lovely wife Mariam joined us for our Kilimanjaro hike (her first time, too) & it was a pleasure to get to know her. Both were incredibly gracious and welcoming!
Godwin included local specialty guides for our day experience hiking to Materuni Falls & visiting a Chagga village in Moshi & for our day hiking up Mt. Kilimanjaro. Both were very knowledgeable, helpful and kind.
We appreciated the personalized experience with Adam, who took us to the Chagga village where he grew up and told us about the traditions & people. A local family hosted us for an amazing traditional meal, we learned about coffee growing & participated in roasting, grinding and brewing our own cup. The day ended with a tasting of locally made banana wine & banana beer.
On our 16 km day hike up Mount Kilimanjaro (Mandara Hut) with Elibariki, Godwin and Mariam, we hiked through the shady rainforest & saw several monkeys. We joked together as we got closer to the 9,000’ elevation.
The Maasai Lodge was constructed with traditional Maasai building techniques, yet with all the comforts of modern life. We were treated to warm African hospitality & an authentic experience of traditional Maasai lifestyle & culture. I also enjoyed an insightful & delightful visit to the local school serving the village.
I highly recommend Inquisitive Africa, a standout small business in a sea of large tour operators!Written 4 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Came back because first trip was so awesome. This journey was even better because of our guide Kylian. Explored Tarangerie, Ngorongoro and Lake Ndutu areas over 8 days. Saw more than we could have imagined. Kylian was so patient, observant, helpful and a fabulous source of information about everything we saw including wildlife and local culture. He was able to view and identify animals including birds from a long distance and with little daylight. Such a magical trip.Written 26 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
