A 35 min walk to the astonishing waterfall and Andrew the guide became master of photography. He was animated, knowledgeable and friendly. On the return walk was the coffee experience: from bean to cup village style. One reviewer said this was touristy: I guess they may not do all the singing and dancing when they want a coffee but, as a tourist visiting for an hour, I enjoyed the experience and the coffee. As this was a Sunday morning many of the village were at church so we drove to the hot springs for a simple lunch. Amazing to swim in the warm clear water surrounded by lush vegetation. Stayed as long as I wanted them returned to the hotel.
These three experience in one day made an excellent activity. Would certainly recommend.

This was definitely one of the highlights on my recent trip to Tanzania. We began the tour by trekking to the waterfall (Materuni) at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Then proceeded to go to a small village where we had a nice African lunch and made arabica coffee. This was very fun and you could tell the Materuni people really wanted you to enjoy the experience. There was lots of singing and dancing with every part of the coffee making process.

Booked as a last-second thing to do for the night, and it was an unforgettable experience. The host/owner was extremely friendly and responsive, and the vibes were great all-around. We parked at their new establishment, the bar Maisha Halisi (also recommend checking it out). The building itself (pictured) is a work of modern art, and is constructed from recycled wood and materials. The food was amazing, and I (solo traveler) joined the other group of individuals onto the bus to watch the sunset. We sang and played music, and the vibes were immaculate. I would definitely recommend checking out Maisha Halisi and the sunset bus if you are visiting Moshi.

Wow! A wonderful day experiences the Kili area! Joel was awesome! We LOVED seeing the waterfall (trek in is not for the very old, very young or unfit). Our experience with the Chugga tribe understanding and making coffee was super cool and the local meal they provided was delish and abundant! The hot springs were fun (not hot btw lol)
The entire day was a success thanks to Joel as guide and Mohameds agency, by far the best for all tours in the area!

Elieth was very friendly and make my short escape very comfortable. I had so much fun in materuni waterfalls, I had also the chance to visit a coffee plantation near by the waterfall. We truly had a good connection.

After many investigative hours on Tripadvisor, I decided to go with ClimbKili tour company to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro because of all the positive reviews. I'm happy to report that all the wonderful reviews were correct. We stayed at the Summit Lodge in Arusha. It was nice and clean with hot water showers. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. There is a little restaurant there at the lodge where we ate all our meals. We had one relax day before we started our trek, so we hired one of the cars ($20) to take us into town to do some shopping at the Massai market and the Cultural Center. Great spots for souvenir and tanzanite shopping.

The day before the trek we met our lead guide Seraphine. He turned out to be wonderful! He and his staff took care of our every need no matter how small or big. We had 3 porters for every climber, three guides, a chef, and a waiter. There were both men and woman in our group

We had a truly amazing and unforgettable Kilimanjaro experience with Monkey Adventures. The whole crew was so friendly and helpful from the start until the end. The only thing you’ll have to worry about is to climb up that mountain and everything else is very well taken care of by the crew. The meals were great as well (and you won’t ever be hungry) and the guides very experienced and knowledgeable. I’d book with these guys again for sure :)

I don’t think this trip would have been so memorable if it weren’t for kilisa. They made this trip an incredible experience and one that I’ll never forget! They were the reason we made to the top of Kilimanjaro and the reason we saw a cheetah hunt in the Serengeti! They are experienced and incredibly kind and accommodating! I highly recommend you choose kilisa!

Myself and my two friends decided to travel to Kilamajaro to complete the machame 6 day route. Friends of ours had completed it the year previous with Monkey Adventures. They swore by them and they were not wrong our whole trip was smooth and highly memorable. The guides are knowledgeable (ours was Remmy who was excellent), the chef, porters and assistant guides all know their roles and are so friendly and outgoing.

Would 100% recommend to a friend!

Such an amazing experience with Edward, Joseph and Good Luck - they provided everything for us, even allowing us to hire all the equipment from them.
My friend and I were the only people summiting that day and it was absolutely magical. We are two 19 year old girls and we’re on our gap year at the time of climbing kili. They looked after us so well, and we both felt so safe and assured while climbing.
The chef was great and we had delicious meals everyday, not to mention all the extra service we received from the rest of the team.
I cannot recommend them enough - you will not find a better price or have a better experience anywhere else.

Based on a friend's recommendation, myself and 3 others planned a trek with Kilisa Tours for February 2022. We truly worked with a dream team!

They were wonderful to work with from the start. We had to postpone a few times due to the pandemic in 2020, and Kilisa was more than accommodating in working with us to reschedule for one person in the group's 40th birthday to be the date we summit!

In February of 2022 we all flew out to do an 8 day Lemosho route on Kilimanjaro! Kilisa made it super easy by meeting us at the airport and then transporting us to the hotel we were staying at the evening before our trek. We were able to meet our guides for the trip and they were able to review the gear we brought to make sure we had what we needed!

The next morning we set off on our trek. Our guides were patient with our group's varied abilities and helped us all to feel energized and excited for each adventure. We were offered many breaks and got to learn a lot about the flora and fauna we passed as well as about Tanzanian culture.

We were amazed by just how nice everyone was from Kilisa tours. Our porters were incredibly strong and fast, they would break down camp after we had already started hiking, pass us during the hike, and have camp set up for us before we got there!

Our chef and waiter (yes a waiter!) were amazing. At each meal we were fed multi course feasts with a variety of options! One member of our group had dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate her and make separate portions to meet her needs! We were all full and very happy after each meal. With each meal we also were offered hot water for tea, coffee or coco and they provided all the fixings you could want to go with your meal or drinks.

The accommodations on the mountain were wonderful, we had spacious tents that you could easily sit up in for camping with thick warm sleeping pads. For dinning, they provided a full tent with table chairs and even a tablecloth.

The guides were wonderful in helping our group acclimate appropriately and monitored everyone's health in a respectful, encouraging way, never making anyone feel discouraged no matter how the altitude or weather was affecting them.

We had 2 members of the group that were having some issues with the altitude, and our dream team thought ahead and two porters agreed to assist our group with the summit. The two porters helped carry the gear for the 2 individuals having issues and all the guides and porters helped encourage and lead our team up for the summit push. One member started to feel very lightheaded and the guides were able to help her work through her dizziness, assess if it was wise to continue and then monitored her carefully as we continued up. Thanks to the amazing oversight from the team, all 4 of us made it to the summit!

Even more amazing was that at the summit, for the birthday, the guides pulled out a birthday sign and balloons for her and we all got to take a birthday picture with the summit sign!

Even more amazing was later that evening after we got to our final camp, the chef surprised the birthday girl with a beautiful and delicious birthday cake!

We truly did have a dream team with Bakari leading the way and Omary always ready for a laugh! We could not recommend using Kilisa tours enough, they were wonderful to work with and we all had an amazing time hiking Kilimanjaro with them!
