A really cool and unique cultural experience. Emmanuel and his friends have created something reminiscent of an ecological treehut community in the forest of Arusha. I especially liked that although this was a coffee tour, they also focused on all the other fruits and vegetables they also grew and tended to. All of the guys were incredibly friendly, humble, and respectful of the beautiful place they are cultivating and growing. The food we were served after the tour was also great. Highly recommend.

William and his son picked us up from our hotel and brought us to the market to try many foods like peas, sardines, tamarind, fruits and more. It was a great way to see how the people of Moshi live. Then he brought us to his mothers house where we met Marissa and her girls. We had appetizers and then the kids took off to play. We got to learn the process of coconut milk, ugali, beef stew and more. Taught how to use ugali when you eat, dessert, and kids placed jelly bean boozle that we brought from USA. Highly recommended activity to do when in Moshi.

  • I had a perfect day. I was picked up at my hotel and Noela and I went to the market to buy the ingredients we needed. It was busy and good to see the local ways. We then drove to Materuni Village where we prepared and cooked four dishes. The women in the village made me very welcome and it was a lovely experience. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone. At the end of cooking you sit down and eat your meal that you cooked.

A fantastic day in a mountain village
