Surprising this is one of the sites which have escaped from the devastation of last major earthquakes in Kathmandu that destroyed major part of Durbar Square in 2016.
There was also a small queue of people who had brought offerings for the deity, but the size and placement of the statue was such that the views from behind this queue were still unobstructed.
