Aliyar dam park is closed during October 2020 due to Covid 19 situation which means we cant go to the top the dam. there will lot of shops outside where you can get some snacks and a tea before climbing up the hills.

There will be a forest check post straight after aliyar dam towards valparai where we need to pay 30 rupees per person and 50 rupees per car. (4 person and a car means you need pay 170 rupees)

Valparai is all about nature .. Do not expect any facilities like big hotels and any other new era recreational activities . Nallamudi view point is in the middle of a tea estate. Go there in the evening to avoid too much of sun. You need to walk 500 mts through tea garden to reach the peak. The view from the top is good. You will like it if you are a nature lover. It is true that there is not a good parking place and restaurants near by. But to keep the nature intact those must be avoided, isn't it ? There was an entry fee of 50/- Rs when I went there.

Koolangal river adds beauty to the overall Valparai visit. Very calm and cool place , there is not too much specific about the this particular spot. Children would love to play in the shallow river. Good photo shoot place in the evenings.

One of the Beautiful place to visit. Lovable place to BikeRiders.Valparai is a hill station in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Nallamudi Viewpoint has vistas of the Anamalai Hills in the Western Ghats, and surrounding tea estates. To the northwest, in Kerala, Parambikulam Tiger Reserve is a forested area, with teak plantations and trails, sheltering tigers and Indian elephants. Northeast of town, the Anamalai Tiger Reserve is home to tigers, panthers, elephants and macaques.

Due to elephant attack, tourists are not allowed to visit this place now. We went there but the forest department didn’t allow to go there. Please check before your travel.
