What travellers are saying
- coyne138Louisiana53 contributionsStopped at the visitors center to read about the dam and get a better view of the massive structure. Always heard about it and finally got to see it in person. While we were there, they sounded the horn that they were turning on another generator. That was pretty cool. We witnessed the fast flowing water at the cabin we were staying at down the river. Great place to see.Written 23 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Mary WTulsa28 contributionsWe rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed our experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. While the boat seats were showing some age, if was very clean and the motor ran great. We rented a tube that simply hooked on and the kids had a blast! Bull Shoals Lake is crystal clean and beautiful.Written 18 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- bandmanScott, LA2,391 contributionsThis place is super cute. We enjoyed the little show put on by local musicians. Our entire family is made up of professional musicians. None of the people on stage Monday were pros, but they were all enjoying what they were doing and the audience seemed to enjoy them playing for them.
Local talent keeps local culture alive. Thanks for a fun evening of family entertainment.Written 25 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Jeff was very professional and so knowledgeable of the White River, the fish and the area in general. He cleaned our trout at the end of the trip, told us about the Beacon Point Restaurant, who cooked our trout for us and served it with hush puppies, fries and slaw and it was good! Would definitely use this guide service the next trip to the white river!Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MARK HHouston, TX16 contributionsExcellent fishing on White River. Convenient pick up by guide at Bull Shoals White River State Park boat dock. Fished that area and caught limit of rainbow trout. A couple of trout were over 20”.Written 9 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JessSkiLake Villa, IL83 contributionsI had a difficult time finding a guide to take my 15 yr old son, his friend and my self fly fishing with the option of spin casting (as a fall back if the kids didn’t care for fly fishing). Duane was amazing! Neither of the boys had ever fly fished, I have. My plan was to hook the boys on fly fishing. Duane was amazingly patient! He thought the boys the basics and let them fish n’ learn & we caught a lot of rainbows! Duane had such a pleasant attitude and was very knowledgeable! I definitely recommend him as a guide for both experienced & new fly fishermen!Written 8 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GLENN DMetairie, LA28 contributionsAsk for Troy! Had a great day on the scenic White River. Troy was a lot of fun and an excellent guide. We tried different baits and caught our rainbow trout limit plus a brownie trout as a bonus. Comfortable, safe boat.Written 4 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
