The story behind the beautiful Saligao Church was exciting. Vaishnavi brought so much energy to this experience and was life of the tour. Her storytelling and the way she presented this experience was truly memorable.
The visit to the Madame Rosa house was a great addition. Nathan, the host, was very hospitable. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Sam4 contributionsOn our recent Goa trip we did a wonderful tour of Saligao with Adolfina. We started our walk in the late afternoon when it started to cool off, and it's a great way to spend the evening and see the sunset in an offbeat place. The village is lovely, a quaint and quiet oasis in the rapidly developing north part of Goa, full of natural beauty and stunning houses plus the grand church and interesting cemetery which all take you back to a bygone era. Adolfina is a very charming host, telling us stories of the area and its culture as well as sharing her expertise in the plant and animal life we encountered on our walk. She also provided us with some delicious Goan desserts, a few made with local rice, which are little known and hard to find.
