This is our go to RV camping spot just because it's a lake and so close to home (Tucson). We go during the week and camp in the East lot to avoid most of the craziness. You have to find something enjoyable to do here to make it worthwhile cause the park at times does have its issues. I bring my own kayak to enjoy the lake and trail run at sonoita creek.

Beautiful, quiet spot! Photographers get ample subjects to shoot photos of. Quiet reflection space with many types of birds and hummers. Not a place for kids to run around raising ruckus. It is a peaceful sanctuary. There is a garden of flowers and benches to enjoy also. Bring your binoculars and camera.

A splendid place to see many kinds of wild birds. Trails are short and easy to follow. There are places with seating to allow for watching various birds at feeders and in the stream side forest.

A must visit place for visiting birders with Thick-billed Kingbirds being very easy to see on the prominent dead snag.
