- jaybeeFLPalm Harbor, FL3,443 contributionsIt is an exceptional experience for those of us living in North America as we have no place like this that offers first hand exposure to penguins in their natural habitat--zoos and aquariums don't count!!! But a word of caution wear your boots or purchase rubber overboots in Ushuaia as you will encounter LOTS of droppings!!! Additionally remain on the pathways out of respect for these cute but wild creatures! They make a photo stop here for you to see the tons of cormorants and sea lions, but you do not get off, just take pictures from the boat.
