Lovely views and a good healthy walk round the lake. Stayed at the Hosteria de Las Cascadas an excellent place, very peaceful. Not too far away is a good place to buy sandwiches and cakes.

I went to Tandil on holidays last february with my family. If you really enjoy being sorrounded by nature this is a perfect place.
There are a lot of people doing activities like walking and running. Also there are many places to visit like " El cerro Centinela", "La piedra movediza" or " el picapiedrero" full of lovely landscapes and activities such as climbing, tirolesa and other adventures.
In the central área of the city there are places where you should try "picadas", a tipical food there.
    Lovely place, and nice people!

This is my place in the world. I visited it with my scouts group, that was my first camp out of the town and I was so excited. I will never forget this journey, when we arrived to Tandil and set up the tents, we saw the giant Christ and we knew that will be the first thing in be seen for us. Without a doubt it is one of the best attractions of Tandil.

Beautiful Architecture! Its like a Spain Palace or Fortress in South America. The history of the place is also amazing!

This place has one of the greatest views of the city. You also have a place to buy wine, salami and alfajores, and also a café, which we didn't visit, so I can't tell much about it. The walk to the top is not long, nor really difficult. I had a surgery on my knee six months ago and I was able to go through it perfectly. You can also go up there by car.

This is a building where you can appreciate the architecture of the beginnign of XX century; some of their floorings are still with the original wood material.

It´s a place where you can do some trecking, and when you reach the top, will find a great view of the city. From the above you will have beautiful pictures of the castle.

Had a great walk out to the Movediza and once there in the park area leading up to the stone you have all the explanation about the moving stone and when it fell at its replacement. The place was quite busy with many tourists taking photos. You can see where the original stone fell but the replacement ' plastic' stone should at least have been painted the same colour as the original! It sticks out as it is much lighter than the surrounding rocks! Great views from the top.

Found in Plaza Independencia this church has undergone constant renovation since the foundations were first laid in the second half of the 1800s. All this is explained on panels just inside the church. The second tower was added less than 50 years ago and gives a more even appearance. The main altar is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, St Joseph and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Side altars are dedicated to the Holy Sacrament and Jesus of Nazareth, then others in the church to St Rita, St Anthony, St Roch and the Virgin of Carmen. Some of the statues are dressed in clothes, as is quite common in Latin-America.
