What travellers are saying
- BBob14Upstate, New York18 contributionsWife and I had an amazing time at Los Dos Hermanos. Lovely people at a lovely family owned ranch about an hour out of Buenos Aires. They'll arrange a ride for you if you need it (you pay driver directly). After a a drink and snack they team you up with your horse and it's out for a morning ride on their lovely estancia in the pampas. Then it's a lazy fresh grilled Argentinia BBQ with meat like you never had before. The afternoon its out for another ride, then snacks and drinks afterwards.
This is for people who want to spend time with a real Argentinian family at a real ranch. It was lovely to meet and interact with them and we felt like old friends by the time we left.If you're looking for a Gaucho show go elsewhere. My wife is an expert rider and I'm a raw beginner and they accommodated both of us with no problem. Just be honest as to your riding level. Also, there's a swimming pool there if you want to cool off (and for non-riders to enjoy).Written 6 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Everything is perfectly designed to make you live a unique experience, such as watching and playing polo in Argentina entails. Highly reccommended, particularly if "topped" with a relaxing and gratifying swim in the pool and an overnight sleep in a fabulous and original "estancia". Bravissimi!!Written 14 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- William P13 contributionsWe took the private tour to the Pampas and had a great all day experience. Jose the guide was very informative. There was more food and wine than we could ever eat and drink. It was great to learn of gaucho life. Loved the carriage ride and entertainment as well. Definitely recommend itWritten 15 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Felicia v1 contributionI spent 10 days at the academy in Argentina (polo holiday) and had an absolutely great time!! Fidel was an amazing teacher, I did learn a lot about playing polo and everything around, they have great horses for all levels. Everyone from the academy is very welcoming and make you feel like home. This was one of the best holiday ever, thank you again to the academy!Written 28 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jordan G12 contributionsThis was a lot of fun! If you're considering doing it, you should! We had very little previous experience riding horses and less experience with the rules of polo. We quickly were taught how to ride and the rules of polo. While we were beginners, our tour did have a more experienced player. We all had a great time!Written 31 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Julie O1 contributionSay Hueque is the best Argentinian travel agency/coordinator of the many we talked to as we planned our trip. They listen closely to your preferences and carefully tailor the perfect vacation for you. They frequently seek input to ensure your trip is great. All of their tour providers are top rate as well as the accommodations they book. They often check in & respond yo questions quickly. I highly recommend you use them to design the South American journey of your dreams. - federico m3 contributionsMy wife and three boys thoroughly enjoyed our horseback ride. Our guide was Agustina - she is a wonderful guide and so easy to get along with. Her pointers were just what we needed!
Our three boys galloped on their horses through the country side tour and had the time of their lives. It was a major highlight to our trip.
We hope to be back soon!Written 31 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Activities very well threw off and planned out. The transfers were very very smooth and constant communications from them even before I could ask. They liaised with other operators from Patagonia and Rio and made sure they were keeping track of us and our activities, no extra money or last minute charges .
My daughter fell sick and had to be taken to hospital in Rio and they made sure they were aware of what was going on at all times . Helped to rebook and reschedule some activities to accommodate the illness. Will definately use them againWritten 30 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bonnie BBoise, ID2 contributionsWe traveled over to Colonia from Buenos Aires, Argentina and did David’s full day package of Horseriding and walking tour of the city. We had a blustery day with a very high tide so the beach was very narrow but we still had an excellent ride and a ton of fun. David’s string of horses are great and well cared for. The town is clean, historically important and interesting. We highly recommend this trip to everyone!!!!!
The only thing I would recommend is that you spend the night in Colonia so as to have plenty of time to check out the town. Doing the trip as an over on the ferry and back in one day is a rather long day.Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - qu714St. Louis47 contributionsI was a solo traveler so to be greeted at the airport in another country after a 14+ hour travel day by Fernando made life very easy. Fernando was waiting for me as soon as I excited customs he loaded all my bags into his comfortable and super clean vehicle and had a snack and water waiting for me. He provided me with great information about the city and culture. When it was time for the second leg of my trip Fernando picked me up at 3:00 AM and got me yo the airport safely and on time. I was thrilled to have his expertise 2 more times and just like the first - he was on time - the car was spotless and he was very informative sharing information about Buenos Aires and Argentina. He speaks fluent English - better than me :) and is very caring about his customers. I had Fernando as my driver 4 times and when I go back to Argentina - he will be on of the first calls I make. Safe, skilled driver, dependable, courteous, great educator, and caring.Written 15 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tiffany E3 contributionsWhat a fantastic experience. My husband and I were in Buenos Aires for a month and wanted to try polo. I have a lot of experience horseback riding (dressage, eventing, show jumping), however had never played polo, and my husband had never been on a horse. Sabrina adjusted to our experience perfectly. She was not only very communicative and organized the pick up and drop off (our driver was a sweetheart), but the lesson itself was so so well done. We had an intro to how to swing the club, then she showed me how to ride a polo pony (VERY different than what I have ever done) and then worked with Neven. Then we played a bit of polo and had a mini-match. Super super fun. I highly recommend Polo in Buenos Aires.Written 10 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ClarenceC75034Dallas, TX3 contributionsDiego is such a warm and friendly tour guide, and exactly what we're looking for... He made our short stay in Buenos Aires joyful and rewarding... We went through most of the point of interests in a day with his expert comments... Can't praise him high enough!Written 23 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
