Learned a ton about Argentine history and culture and saw a huge swath of the city in a short time. The cruiser bikes are one speed and very stable. As a New York cyclist, only once was I a bit freaked out by car traffic around us. He suggested us which bike paths to ride on to see some main city attractions, which was really fun. - Kandi S5 contributionsI can't even begin to express my disappointment with R40Moto. By the end of our trip, 6 of the 12 bikes were unridable. We discovered that 2 of the bikes had broken frames before we even got started when we picked them up in Rio Gallegos. Two bikes had compromised suspensions that eventually rendered them both unridable before the end. One bike suffered a broken drive shaft. Another had a bad steering head bearing that got progressively worse each day until it became unridable in the middle of the trip. Missing spokes, broken windscreens, a brake rotor attached with a zip tie, the list goes on. The bikes were in complete disrepair. We counted on R40 for a trip of a lifetime and instead they left us stranded and ultimately forced us to share bikes just to get to the end of our trip 12 days later. What more disappointing however, is their complete lack of customer service and any willingness to make things right. We gave them a lot of money for BMW R1200GS
and GSA's and in the end, they've offered us no financial consideration for providing such poorly maintained equipment for this trip into very remote areas of the country. I have given this company over TWO MONTHS to make this right and continue telling us the issues are somehow our fault. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere.
