We booked the El Querandi and enjoyed every aspect of the performance. The theatre is quite small but is a perfectly adequate venue.
The dinner was excellent, in fact the food exceeded our expectations. Each course was delicious. Serving staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.
The performance involved a band and five dancing couples and included a number of excellent singers. The dancers was just amazing. It was a high energy performance by obviously very skilled dancers. It was riveting.

- cecilia t2 contributionsI was looking for a tango dinner show that caters to a small crowd and a venue that is not in a big theatre for a more intimate experience. And the early tango show and dinner at 7PM is more convenient for us. Algibe Restaurant has good reviews among the restaurants in Buenos Aires. We were given a choice for the 3 course gourmet dinner with drinks included and it was very good. The service was excellent. The show was impressive. From tango and folklore dancers, the musicians, a band, and a male solo singer completed a well rounded cultural experience. I booked through Trip Advisor, in particular with this tour operator, Private Tour Guide Buenos Aires, @ carlos-batourguide. Their price was much cheaper than the other tour operators. I would recommend for a tango dinner show. It is worth it. - LouNorfolk, UK36 contributionsLast night we went to the dinner and show. I have read the other reviews and find them quite different from our experience. We were picked up at our hotel and stopped at a lovely old-fashioned looking restaurant. There’s a choice of food including a vegetarian option. I do not know if there is a vegan option but did not ask. We had three courses. The food was delicious. My husband really enjoyed his last Argentinian steak of the holiday. As part of the deal we also shared a bottle of wine and had lots of water available to us.
After the dinner we walked just a few paces across to this beautiful old Theatre. We were given our own table and offered two more drinks to have if we wished as part of the ticket price. This choice was of white or red wine, beer, water, orange juice or champagne.
The staff were attentive. The show was outstanding. We loved it so much. What a lovely taste of old Argentina.
Our little bus picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel. We were picked up at 8 pm and back at our hotel by around 1145.

The tango show itself surpassed our expectations; both the male and female singers had beautiful voices, and the dancers were excellent. We even got a certificate for the dance class and optional photo with the dancers. We booked one month ahead, as we thought a nice place was going to be assigned for us.
But NO!
By chance our pick up car went on pane twice during the hotel/Faena transfer so, we were not the first to arrive.... we were placed next to the band, but behind an enourmous pillar. part of the show was missed,because of the pillar.
to make it worse, tkt for the tango show increased prices in dec. ok, inflation everywhere, even in usd, but we booked in Nov!!!!! we explain the waitress that we booked for usd 240 not 260/person.
We were treated as if we were bagging for a discount.... so, manager came and, although she agreed to charge the previously agreed 240/peraon, she made us feel miserable as if she was making us a favour to charge exactly what was agreed before.
so, to make it worse, when waiting the driver to take us back to the hotel, the driver was there with the same car, which dropped on panic twice on the way in.
we kindly said we wouldn't take the same car - not the kind driver - as the previous experience was not great and the car was not reliable.
NO other option was offered.
No solution offered from FAENA.

The show was amazing and the food choices and quality very good.
