Right in the centre of Buenos Aires, a beautifully maintained old theatre has become a modern, HUGE, exceptional shop for literature (and more!) Whether you purchase any books or not, 'Ateneo' is well worth a visit.

From start to finish Shop Hop BA made it easy to jump in to the marvelous world of small shops, some hidden from view, in Buenos Aires.
She took us to the following places: a leather jacket shop, a boutique handmade handbag place, a unique jeweler, a natural clothing store, and an Argentinian gift shop.

Really nice little shop, the staff speak English and you can taste a number of items before you buy.
But if you are just hanging around in the area, they offer to hold your purchase there for you until later.

Slightly surreal being part of a shopping Mall but that just added to the evening’s fun - can recommend a pre-show cocktail in the Madison Cafe on the lower ground floor.
This Argentine tango show is held inside the Borges Cultural Center (BCC) located inside the beautiful Galerias Pacifico shopping center in Buenos Aires.

... go back to the Sistine Chapel, so I can look up at Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, and enthusiastically tell some perfect stranger next to me: “This is incredible; it reminds me of my favourite shopping mall.”
It’s an impressive and colourful sight, is free and well worth a visit to this famed and modern shopping mall.

I enjoyed crafts and local street food, but the best experience was street dancing to the folk Argentine music.
