When we told him that on coming Monday my 6year old would celebrate her birthday he sang her a birthday song, bought her a gift from a local market, even had the ladies in the restaurant sing her the birthday song, in a special African way (!), and make a pancake for her, that was a great surprise for all of us! Just make sure to get out there as soon as the gates open! Mozambique: didn’t know what to expect but loved Maputo’s architecture and the chilled vibes of Ponta do Ouro. Eswatini: what a beautiful stay in the huts, waking up surrounded by impalas a magical experience for sure. Also the scenery was absolutely spectacular and doing the Panorama route north of White river and the amazing vistas before Barberton are worth it.
