This is an absolute must do!! The entire tour was phenomenal and planned for me which was amazing!!!! It was well organized and thought out. Yes, there was about 45 minutes of downtime in the beginning, but there is many options to pass the time very quickly.
My driver, Komang, picked me up early in the morning to take me to the port and made the entire process very seamless. We had great conversations on the ride in. He made sure I knew exactly where to go and made it easy to find my guide in Nusa Penida. When he picked me up to bring me back to my hotel in Ubud, he found me right away and even brought the car to me which was a very kind gesture.
When we arrived to port in Nusa Penida There was some downtime from when I arrived to the start of the snorkeling tour. This allowed me to walk along the beach, browse the nearby shops, and enjoy the breakfast that I packed for myself. I recommend bringing cash with you in case you would like to make any extra purchases while you are there. You will also want to make sure to pack sunscreen and bring a water proof bag or risk your items getting wet. You can leave your belongings back at the snorkeling tour starting point as well. I left some items and brought others with me. I placed my items on the boat in a large zip lock bag which worked fine.
The snorkeling tour was a lot of fun!! The company was very organized upon arrival. They check you in and chat with you before you board the boat. You are provided with a snorkeling mask and flippers to use. The guides explain each location and what they are known for. They are helpful and provide guests with life jackets upon request and have one floatation device/life ring for inexperienced swimmers to use. The marine life and coral were beautiful. We did get to see a sea turtle while snorkeling which was amazing!!
After the snorkeling tour ends you return and are able to use an outdoor shower before the land tour begins. My tour guide on Nusa Penida was fantastic as well!!! He waited with my stuff and took me from each location. He explained where we were going and what the location was known for; he even offered to take pictures for me which was amazing since I was traveling solo. It was hot that day, so he checked in several times to make sure I was doing okay.
Overall, I cannot recommend this tour enough. This was one of my favorite parts about my entire trip. They were very accommodating and kind throughout the entire process. I had so much fun and am very thankful for the staff for putting this together!
