We didn’t stay there but just went for a visit. There are lots or restaurants and hotels along the waterfront. One can hire a chair with towel and umbrella on the beach for about Rs.100 per hour! It is safe to swim in most parts with lifeguards on duty.Unsafe areas are clearly marked. There is lighthouse at the beach which one can also go and visit during certain hours.

The beach just adjacent to the Lighthouse Beach may lack a landmark, but it is no less beautiful. Definitely spend some time exploring this area as it is still photography-worthy!

In my opinion this beach is at its best before sunset. The sand is accessed via a sea retaining wall, upon which all three of the restaurants adjacent to this beach have tables and chairs and serve serve both drinks and dinner. You can witness local tourists taking to the water, but judge for yourself as the wave break here would preclude me from actual swimming here but paddling is fine.

Excellent beach outing with family and friends. Wear light clothes. Bikini maybe objected. Very conservative local population. Drinking openly is not permitted. Paid parking facility by the beach side available at government rates. Old lighthouse, cliff side view of the beach are a few best attractions apart from the amazing sunset. Check sunset timings before you venture out so that you don't miss the spectacular view. Weather is comfortable with light clothes during November to February. I enjoyed cycling from Trivandrum to kovalam early hours of the day following the National Highway. Tender Coconut water is an absolute relish and refreshing after the workout. Eating joints and bar are available at affordable prices. This is one of the few best beaches I have seen in India. Do not miss the fun.

To see the fishermen's catch you must arrive very early.
The experience if you do is well worthwhile

We visited during weekday and it was drizzling. So, it was less crowded and a beauty to watch the nature. Boat ride is a must. Not guaranteed that you will spot wild animals in the island forest. Very good spot for a day trip.

Aavaduthura Devi Temple .... Nice atmosphere and very silent place...mostly lovable architecture...Most of the people trust the temple...Place of worship. Avaduthura Devi Temple is non-touristy temple where locals join to pray. There is a ayyappa, Krishna and other god's temples inside main temple complex. Wear full dress. Everything else is fine. No entry fee, no commercialized like other major temples.

What a great teacher! I had an amazing class in Kovalm with SudheerA. He adapts and listen to the body, helps you to get in the postures and go deeper into the stretch.
I wish I could have more classes ! Thank you SudheerA for your teaching and kindness 🙏 Hopefully we meet soon again .

I was on a Holiday with my brother and my mother had recommended the Ayurvedic treatment center of Vinayan Chandran who has deep knowledge of ancient Ayurveda and much more such as his colleague Dr. Nikhil. I had three treatments, a marma point treatment, the shirodhara and an abhyanga treatment.
After the marma massage I had already the deep feeling that my energy system was brought back into balance again after I had worked a lot the past years I felt an immediate release of stress. After the shirodhara which was the next session I felt so relieved it gave me deep relaxation and inner peace. I did not know that only one treatment can give me the feeling of being newly born. The last treatment which was the abhyanga changed my body feeling and since then I have deeper love to myself and me as a being.
This stay made me glow again and am very grateful for have met this inspiring team and I learned a lot more about Ayurveda mindset and humanity.
I can highly recommend the Bodhi Dharma in Kerala India as a place where you can feel home in yourself and fully trust and relax.
