Once there, I very much enjoyed being away from the noise, hussel and bussel of the city and working along the beach and in the water and in a quieter part, sitting down and taking it all in. The sand is accessed via a sea retaining wall,upon which all three of the restaurants adjacent to this beach have tables and chairs and serve serve both drinks and dinner. Drinking openly is not permitted. Paid parking facility by the beach side available at government rates. Old lighthouse, cliff side view of the beach are a few best attractions apart from the amazing sunset. Check sunset timings before you venture out so that you don't miss the spectacular view. Weather is comfortable with light clothes during November to February. I enjoyed cycling from Trivandrum to kovalam early hours of the day following the National Highway. Tender Coconut water is an absolute relish and refreshing after the workout. Eating joints and bar are available at affordable prices. This is one of the few best beaches I have seen in India. Boat ride is a must. Not guaranteed that you will spot wild animals in the island forest. Nice atmosphere and very silent place...mostly lovable architecture...Most of the people trust the temple...Place of worship. Avaduthura Devi Temple is non-touristy temple where locals join to pray. There is a ayyappa, Krishna and other god's temples inside main temple complex. Wear full dress. Everything else is fine. - Paulina D2 contributionsI've had the pleasure of working with Sudheer for some time now. I work as a yogateacher myself since many years, so I'm very conscious about who I train with.
I first had 5 days of 2 classes per day, before I was attending a teacher training in Varkala . Already after these 5 days I was considering cancelling my training and staying on to work with Sudheer instead.
That would have been a good idea, because during my teacher training I got a hamstring strain. I came back to Kovalam to work with Sudheer in personal sessions.
I wasn't sure how that would work with my hamstring, but Sudheer has so beautifully designed the practice for me.
So after only one week of 1-1 sessions, my leg is so much better and I have deepened my physical practice. I always feel so excited and blessed to go to class with Sudheer.
I would happily have stayed on for another month, but I'm off to Thailand now.
I will consider coming back for the mere purpose if working with Sudheer again.
I truly give him my warmest recommendations, for beginners and advanced practitioners.
