Shanghai is bustling, especially the Bund at night with its golden splendour. The night view is so beautiful. The lights is just fantastic. If I got a chance, I hope to come here again!
✨Tip: The Bund opens at 7pm and closes at 11pm, so if you have enough time, you can take the ferry to visit.

We had a chance to visit the Yuyuan Garden during a recent visit to Shanghai. This is an interesting spot, with many small building and gardens to explore.

Was very crowded on our visit. Many local tourists.

A nice relaxing spot to visit.

It's an iconic landmark in Shanghai. I take the elevator straight up to the 263-meter observation deck. I can get a stunning panoramic view of the entire city. I had dinner at the Oriental Pearl Sky Revolving Restaurant – it’s a lovely place.I can enjoy delicious food while soaking in the amazing views😚😚

Tips ✨: Purchase your tickets online in advance to avoid queuing on site. Wear comfortable shoes.

Taken DiDi from Shanghai Bund area approximately 45 to 55m to reach this ancient city , Things I love was great experience of costume + make up (face & hair) + photograher only cost RMB199 each person . In fact , admission is FOC if you plan to just walk , eat and chill there , can avoid buying tickets . Fruit juice and dumplings is nice . It may be too commercialized as Ancient Town but nearest from Shanghai City Center .

This is a great pedestrian street to explore, with some attractive architecture, some of it more than 100 years old and some of it very modern. If you get off the subway at the Nanjing Rd. East subway station, it's also the most interesting way of ending up at the Bund and the Huangpu River. At night this street is lit up beautifully.

If shopping is your thing, this is a good place to shop during the day.

The 'slightly sleazy' wording in the title is because, as I walked down the street in the evening, I was approached three separate times by attractive young women who 'wanted to practice their English'. If you are with a group or a family, as I was on a previous visit here in 2019, this won't happen to you, and it's a very safe street otherwise.

Worth seeing if you are in Shanghai.

    WHEN:
Visited on the last Sunday of China's summer school holidays.
Still crowded, but a lot better than during summer holidays itself.
Thought it was weird that it was still very hot for the start of fall, but thankful that we didn't get caught in the strongest storm to hit Shanghai in 70 years just a week later!

    ZOOTOPIA:
Shanghai Disneyland is the first in the world to get this land opened in 2023 while the rest of the world gotta wait till 2025 for it. They built almost the exact replica of what you see in the movies - super cute to see the tall, tall giraffes working out alongside the lemmings spinning their balls to work in the hamster tubes. The various zones of Tundratown (freezing!), Sahara Square (with fake camel "Gurlzelle"), Rainforest District's gondolas and even a "Tiger NightClub" were portrayed extremely well in both the land and its immersive rides!

    RIDES:
For those who'd been to other Disneylands, the most unique here are Zootopia's "Hot Pursuit" and Tomorrowland's TRON Lightcycle, since they are both unavailable in any other Disneylands. Pirates of the Caribbean in most other Disneylands are getting a little boring with short queues, but you'll find the one here WAY cooler because of its much newer technology. Camp Discovery is unique because it ain't a ride, it's an obstacle course where you get to "climb" up/through some rock/cave/waterfall of Adventure Isle while being harnessed and tethered. The most underwhelming was Pooh's ride which was a lot shorter and two-dimensional than the one we rode at other Disneylands.

    SHOWS:
Pirates of the Caribbean is probably the best if you fancy some choreographed stunts and acrobatics; Elsa's still the perennial favourite and Stitch Encounter was funny for both kids and adults, but you gotta understand Mandarin.

    DPAs/single Riders/walking/Meet&Greet:
    - Disney Premier Access are available individually, but also in sets. We got all:
DPA Inspiration set of SIX rides @ 815rmb
DPA Adventure set of SIX rides @ 815rmb
DPA FOUR shows (Pirates, Elsa, Storybook, Adventure Rhythm NEW) @ 720rmb
That's the only way to finish most rides and shows in one day @ ~320usd/pax.
    - When we saw some single rider queues @ 40 minutes, we knew the DPA was worth it.
    - If you flew many hours to get here, it's probably worth it to pay 320usd more to NOT queue and jostle, and mostly, to be kind to your legs because this park is HUGE!
    - There was no time for Meet&Greet if you want to finish all rides & shows in a day. Also, we honestly found those at Hong Kong Disneyland nicer and MORE available.

    SPECIAL NOTES for DPA:
    - Definitely need your phone to scan TWICE for every DPA entry;
    - Some rides' DPA don't go all the way to the ride, still gotta join last bits of the queue (perhaps that's how you still can appreciate some of the decor at the queue?);
    - DPAs for shows means they let you in 15 minutes before show starts. They'll let everyone else in 10 minutes before show starts. DO NOT MAKE OUR SAME MISTAKE by booking two shows back to back... you might just miss the DPA of your next show if you do not arrive early enough. They don't do seat reservations here for DPA-holders like in Tokyo Disneyland.

    COMPARING TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS BEIJING:
    - We visited Universal Studios in Beijing next since it's only a three-hour flight away.
    - While Disney magic and their unforgettable characters are priceless, and one could tell that a lot more effort went into their overall decor, shows and even service...
    - Would say we had a much more relaxing and cheaper time at Universal Studios Beijing. They are also newer and have some really cool rides i.e. Jurassic!!

Tickets must be bought online days ahead especially when there are special exhibitions on. We missed our chance for the Egyptian Civilisation exhibition as the tickets were all sold out.

I saw a lot of old buildings and stores, many of them with unique decorative styles, and strolled along this old street full of stories and moods. I took a lot of photos here and love the sights!

We came here to look around and shop and stayed to lunch. The area is an interesting stroll and there are indoor air conditioned shops if high end shopping is your thing. Steets were busy and full of happy shoppers. Lots of variety and options to eat.

The air was alive with the sounds of vendors calling out, the clinking of coins, and the laughter of people enjoying the lively atmosphere. We browsed through stalls selling everything from handmade crafts to exotic spices, our senses delighting in the colors and fragrances that surrounded us. We sampled local street food, each bite a new adventure, a taste of Shanghai's rich culinary heritage.

One of the highlights of our exploration was the Old Town of Nanshi. Walking through the preserved Shikumen houses, we felt as though we had stepped back in time. The narrow streets, lined with traditional shops and eateries, offered a glimpse into the life of old Shanghai.

We visited here in August 2019 on a tour. Although we were only here for a couple of hours, it was no where near enough time to get through all the shops and food stalls and sights. August is a very busy time and there were many many people everywhere. The architecture was wonderful, and so much to see. Definitely worth the visit. Leave yourself enough time.

Had a nice visit to the park on my daughter's birthday. Some of the park's areas seemed in need of a bit of renewal with several rides closed but overall nice enough. Daytime was pretty quiet with mostly school kids wandering around but when night hit things likened up with the Halloween theme throughout the park. The actors we all fun as were the haunted houses and Halloween decorations. Not a huge super park so doing it all in one day is easy. Seems the whole family had fun and the birthday girl loved it..as such I'd guess we'd happily return next time we find ourselves in Shanghai

An interesting complex with a lot of different sections. It's a working temple so as you tour round you will see people praying to Buddha and burning incense.

Awesome and quite iconic river in China to cross during your trip. I walked next to it along the footpath, admiring the views of the Bund. Also took the ferry across, which was quite cheap.
