My goal was to buy a wedding suit, which I found from a photo on the Internet. It was a costume from some European wedding. At first I tried to search for it in online stores, but I didn't find it. I came to this place because my friends advised me. The "Suits by Susan" store immediately caught my attention. The seller said I was handsome and gave me a good discount for it. A large selection of fabrics and quick measurement. Thanks!

The museum is a fantastic time machine bringing you back to a bygone era in China. The posters were engaging and interesting to watch. You can easily spend and hour here. There is also a good museum shop where you can even buy original posters.

Finding the museum was a bit tricky. It is located between two banks on Yannan road.

We visited here in August 2019 on a tour. Although we were only here for a couple of hours, it was no where near enough time to get through all the shops and food stalls and sights. August is a very busy time and there were many many people everywhere. The architecture was wonderful, and so much to see. Definitely worth the visit. Leave yourself enough time.

This is a market for pretty good quality items. I’ve shopped here many times and you will generally find a lot airline crew here.

Prescriptions glass that are simple can be made in 2 hours.

My advice in shopping at this place is take the price you’re offer and offer them 25% of the asking price. The go up in small increment from there.

There is a lot of shops here so be prepared to walk around. The markets surround the train station. There is an area for general item, glasses, bags, electronics etc. But one large area for tailors.

The IFC Mall is a 6-storey luxury shopping mall of over 110,000sqm that provide a spectrum of up-market retail offerings to top-tier international luxury brands. Boutique stores of international brands, culinary delights and also a premier cinema complex.

With its stunning glass facade glittering among the modernity that defines Lujiazui, the area where the mall is situated, it's a good place to shop for luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Gucci, and Cartier etc. It is also home to Apple’s second largest flagship store in China.

Be prepared for being hassled almost every stop but fun. Be prepared to haggle for your purchases but 100s of shops indoors provide opportunities including tailoring, electronics. Jewelry etc. Most speak good enough English. I have gone here dozens of times over the years. Take Green line to Science Center.

Of the many fantastic galleries in M50, I was specifically touched by LWH Gallery. The art there was outstanding. Several pieces kept my glance for a very long time, most of all the work of Chatchawan Rodklongtan. The way the owner (I guess he was the owner?) of the gallery told us the story behind the artwork was also inspiring. He really took his time for all our questions and didn't mind that I just kept staring at the artwork. Thanks you very much for introducing me to your world of art.

Initially when we were walking on the ground floor, noticed all the luxurious branded goods mainly. However, when you go below to the lower floors, we started to find more mid-range goods as well as lots of F&B there to choose from.

Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Shangcheng, is situated outside the Yu Garden (also a stone throw to Chenghuang Temple), in the heart of old Shanghai city. There are many traditional Chinese buildings, which nowadays are used as commercial and retailing stores to sell local souvenirs, foods, products, snacks, jewelry and antiques etc.

In the bazaar, there are a great number of small lanes filled with stores. Yuyuan old street, in the north of Yuyuan Bazaae, mainly offers various commodities with traditional Chinese characteristics. These products include home supplies, handicrafts, and festive supplies. In addition, Yuyuan fashion street totally differs from the Old Street. Daily supplies, modern handicrafts, snack food and coffee beverages are mainly offered here. Moreover, the gold and jewelry industry is very prosperous in this area, so visitors can also buy golden earrings, necklaces or rings in many of the goldsmith shops.

On the day of our visit, it was weekend and so you can bet the area was packed with visitors and moving around was quite a challenge. Although it's touristy, it was still a great eye-opening experience for us to have a feel of the local culture and lifestyle!

Very convenient. Take the metro to Zongshan Park Line 2, 3 or 4. Take Exit 2 and you will find yourself inside the mall. Lots of restaurants on every floor, especially the top 3, mostly Chinese. Carrefour is here as well. Lots of great shopping brands are here too.

I loved it because Line 8 to Qufu Road metro station, Exit 1, took me straight into the Joy City Mall!!! Convenient and good to visit when it is a rainy day like today. Joy City is pretty cool too but it can be quite confusing as it has a North side and a South side. No worries, you’ll get used to it! Plenty of great restaurants. Lots of boutiques. No supermarket. Ferris wheel on the rooftop. There’s a craft floor and Neon shops that looks like Japan. Just explore around. Exciting place to be.

The Long Museums are confusing as there are TWO, one on Pudong side and the other on the old Bund side of Shanghai, labelled “Xi’an”.

There are world class special exhibitions and a very good, well-curated exhibition on Chinese realist art. The labeling has some English translation but help from a Chinese speaker is useful.

But good heavens it expensive by Chinese standards — compared to typical admission fees of 40 CNY, Long Museum is 250 CNY more than $40 per person.
