    Fabulous house!
Lots of furnishings to enjoy. Several beautiful pianos
Many interesting items from the Civil War , WW 2 etc.
Loved seeing evening , wedding dresses and children clothing from a by- gone era

As a native Virginian , I was impressed by the Eufaula community. Darling downtown

The reenactment of historic characters was very good. The one place on the tour of homes that had plenty of parking. At this time it was on the candlelight tour.

We love this campground. The views are great. The sites are spacious (especially 52). The showers need some updating and possibly security locks. Anyone could walk in from the campground while your in either bathroom/bathhouse. The campground is secured with a key pad and gate which is nice.
My main complaint is having a 18mo old toddler who loves to play outside and dealing with 2 random “stray” dogs. They just showed up each day and would approach us and how would you feel with random dogs approaching your child? Im not happy. I called the campground and NOTHING was done. Some other campers said “they live on the hill and just come down to hang out”. They need to stay on their hill.

We stopped in on our way to Eufaula. Unfortunately, in early February there wasn't a lot to see. We did see a number of very large turtles sunning themselves on a log from the bird viewing platform.

Our dogs (on leashes) enjoyed walking some of the trials with us.

Its a very rudimentary refuge - no washrooms, etc. - but it was really neat to see.

There are scenic drive roads marked 'Summer' and 'Winter' - we stuck to the winter scenic drives.

It is a really amazing experience to walk thru a cemetary, reading headstones hundreds of years old. The short lives and the long lives lived quietly or with valor or greatness, preserved for those who wish to see it.

This trail is the perfect length and it is paved, if you are traveling with a dog it's a great place to stretch your legs. Leash required.

Stunning house and grounds. Love the John Raines history! Absolutely love the Peacan trees that line the long drive way.

I mistakenly posted our review on Shorter Cemetery and don't know how to delete. We drove through the Fairview Cemetery which overlooks the Chatt. There are lots of old markers dating back to the mid 1800's with names some notables in Eufaula history. The Jewish Cemetery is near the bluff on the right side. The road curves near the bluff.

The staff were friendly and polite. They were patient with answering our questions and allowed us to sample ice cream flavors so that we could make our choice. Yes, they have ice cream, milkshakes, and coffee available in addition to Christmas ornaments and other keepsakes and gifts like praline pecans.

The park has a boat landing, picnic and bbq areas. It sits secluded off the the Highway, and offers lots of nature's beauty to admire. Fishing is possible but because of Alligators one should not swim.
A great place to spend a few hours in the outdoors with the family.
