The Kapaleeshwarar temple, with a seven-tiered Gopuram, is known for magnificent sculptures depicting Puranic incidents. Sri Kapaleeshwarar and Devi Karpagambigai are in separate shrines. Lord Vinayaka and Muruga are in smaller shrines. On the northern corner of the corridor, there is a sculptural representation of the Devi as a peahen. There are sub-shrines for Gnanasambandhar and the merchant girl Poompaavai. The 63 Saivite saints (Nayanmars) are enshrined on the corridors.

A beautiful beach with ample car parking and is close to the city-center. We made a couple of visits during last week of December. The beach was almost empty with little to no crowd. The weather was courteous to us, so we made a nice beach walk during the evening and in the night. The ocean was ferocious in the night, and it was a lovely sight to watch.
The only part I dislike was the make-shift eateries shops right at the entrance is quite annoying for the visitors and lessen the beauty of the beach. Otherwise, it's a nice beach.

Simple to get to. Don't forget to view St. Thomas's tomb in the chapel located behind the church. British architects created amazing buildings. This location has a rich history.

One of the most iconic temples in Chennai . Has a lot of heritage behind this place . Been ages since I visited this temple ! Went back after about 10 years and this place is just so awesome ! So much of sanctity and peace inside the temple . Went by train 🚆 and it was walkable distance from station . Took me less than 10 mins to reach .

Loved every part of this temple . Lots of history behind this with Pallavas building this temple and then expanded by cholas. The moola vigraham was so awesome. . There was a bit of queue but it kept moving . Went in the morning at around 9.30 am. Also had the famous puliyodharai prasadam at the exit ! The temple is also maintained so well. It’s clean and very environment friendly .

A must visit temple in Chennai . Great and divine experience. 5 stars !

Mylapore is an older part of Chennai, interesting to visit for many reasons. Friendly one table cafe, small businesses, large churches as much more. There is of course the slum area too. Some must sees are the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Kapaleeshwarar Temple Tank, Swami Shwetambar Jain Temple, St Thomas Cathedral Basilica. You wouldn't really want to visit Nochikuppam beach which just looks like a rubbish dump.

Shirdi Sai baba temple is a must visit for all Sai Bhakts. But be very careful of the people standing outside the temple. They misguide you and loot your money. I have attached pic of the shop who lied to me to took Rs1300. Sai dear tour and travel opposite gate 6 are total fraud.
Do not listen to anyone. There is Rs5 phone locker and free shoe.

Happy animals with lots of space. Reptiles and birds less so. But they are committed to animal care and protection. The 13 seater electric cart was a convenient for an overview (Rs 1300 for an hour if you are booking the whole cart) and then followed up by E-bikes if you only have a few hours to spare. The bathrooms are old government style basic and not clean and no water. Basic food availability.

The building itself is really nice and well maintained, the environment is much better than some places in the city, it's clean and without much wired smell, although the entrance is not well controlled, not many strange people there inside the station. Food, water are available in the station, and the instructions are well given, very clear.
If you're a fan of trains, this station is strongly recommended to go and take a look. There are many different kinds of train that you can take pictures.

This was the very first attraction the driver that I hired and I visited. The drive is slightly uphill and the walk from the parking lot to this attraction is about 5-7 minutes. There are several buildings to visit, one of which has an underground caves represented to be where St.Thomas sat down/ knelt down. It is slippery here and watch your head when walking on a very tight, small area.

Outside are some statutes and views of Chennai below. Took some pictures here before leaving.
