We went to shop few things. which included Tamil Traditional clothes, visited a large store Pothys, Which housed every thing we sought. days later I wanted to backpack and went to neighbouring store called Saravana.

Both the places, were extremely cheap, choice was wide and Staff behaviour was very good.

Triplicane Big Mosque (also called Wallajah Mosque) is a mosque located in Triplicane High Road, Triplicane in Chennai, the capital of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Constructed in the Mughal architectural style, the mosque was built in 1795 by the family of Muhammad Ali Khan Wallajah, the Nawab of Arcot during 1765. It has a large prayer hall, a tank and a large ground in front. The entire structure is constructed with granite without the use of iron or wood. The Nawab of Arcot was friendly towards fellow Hindus, appointing a Hindu as his chief personal secretary. A chronogram written in Persian by Raja Makhhan Lal Bahdur Khirat, the Hindu Munshi of the Nawab, is found on the entrance to the prayer hall. The mosque is the largest and one of the oldest in Chennai and is active as a place of worship. It is administered by Prince of Arcot Endowments Trust. There is a graveyard there beside the mosque 🕌

Myself along with my mom visited Gaudiya Mutt at Royapettah this Monday evening. View of the temple was similar to Lord Krishna temples in Bengal. The main deities of the temple are Lord Krishna - Radha with Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the temple was dedicated to other Vaishnavaite saints.

There was a big hall available, where bhajans are performed daily. It was a real divine feel to hear such bhajans. Had a wonderful evening at the temple.

Just a small complex of shops. Just like petty shops and not much more than that. So shopping was not a very much good experience here. Yet there are something good.

TTDC tours are for those who are looking to save some money. We undertook 3 day trips -- Tirupati, Chennai-Mahabalipuram and half day Chennai tour. Some areas that need immediate improvement are -- guides should be better trained, food served (wherever included in ticket) should be of better quality and online booking should not begin only when someone buys ticket offline.
