Had a amazing and fun tour with this company. Kannan was a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable of the city. Kannan is also a very caring tour guide that listens to the customer, and never pressures them to do anything. Felt very comfortable as a solo female traveler with them. They made me feel safe and comfortable. Definitely would recommend this company, nothing but a great experience!

The British architecture walk is an excellent way of learning more about the colourful past of Chennai. We saw magnificent buildings that had intriguing stories to tell. Our guide was brilliant and he told us fascinating aspects of a slew of magnificent buildings. We not only learnt about the architecture but also about the collaboration between British and Indian architects and also the role these buildings played in the evolution of the city. I would recommend this walk to anyone who wants to know a little more about Chennai and it's historical connection.

My fiancé came to Chennai on business and I decided to tag along for a holiday. While he was at the office, I wanted to get out and explore the city but felt a bit overwhelmed at first. Thanks to the great travel advice of a friend, I started looking for walking tours. We found StoryTrails and booked the Bazaar tour on a day he had off to do together. It was fantastic! Our guide, Shobana, was very knowledgeable and even incorporated some humor into her stories about the bazaar. The colors and smells of the market were so vibrant! We had such a wonderful time and StoryTrails provided such a great experience that I booked a second tour solo later in the week - the Peacock Trail. My guide, Karunya, was so pleasant and had seemingly never ending stories to tell me about the sights we explored together. Her passion for storytelling was abundantly clear. I HIGHLY recommend StoryTrails as wonderful, approachable introduction to Chennai. Their tours are TOP NOTCH!

My teens and I enjoyed this outdoor walk through the history and culture of Mylapore, one of the oldest places in Chennai (and Tamil Nadu). Our guide was great--we would definitely do this tour again!

We had taken a day off in Chennai and enrolled for the St Thomas tour. It was a fantastic experience, full of learning and interesting churches and stories. Our guide Kannan was amazing and told us all about how the apostle Thomas came to chennai 2000 years ago. He showed us his handprints in a cave. The basilica of St Thomas was outstanding. Kannan was kind enough to show us some relics of St Thomas as well. This is highly recommended for anyone who wants to know more about the ancient history of Chennai

Met our story teller Karunya at the meetup point and the wonderful story began. We walked and ate for almost 2 full hours. The sample size portions, allowed us to enjoy a lot of different varieties of food and it was all good. Karunya was great host and we really enjoyed the stories with the amazing food. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to sample South Indian small bites.

Lakshmi was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable, friendly, and catered the material well to our specific group. Our family walked away feeling like we had a newfound appreciation and understanding of key places in Chennai, despite all of us being Tamilians ourselves who have visited the city many times! We would recommend this tour to anyone, either a local who wants a fresh perspective on new places, or someone new looking to learn about Chennai for the first time.

Most pathetic tour ever. Nothing in the itinerary was covered. The guide was very knowledgeable however he wasn't able to articulate in English. It's not worth the money they charge for this tour. They did not even have the courtesy to respond back. Suggest you not to go for this.

Booked the tour months before the date and received confirmation that hotel pick up was included. The day before the tour I received a message that hotel pick up was not now available as the hotel was outside the city limits, even though they knew the hotel location at time of booking. Also that a giude was not available and we would only receive a pdf.
I found their service most unprofessional and would not recommend to anybody

I booked this tour as it seemed to have very good reviews, and I was looking forward to seeing this area as well as the markets. As it turned out I was the only one on the tour and although the tour guide was VERY sweet and nice (must stress this) the tour itself was NOT what I paid for and was a bit awkward.

I was the only one taking the tour that day and the overview said it was going to be about 2 hours and there would be a chance to actually shop at the markets. We met at a hotel and then looked at the vegetable tables, then a rice store. Then we got into an auto rickshaw and just drove around the streets a few times. The guide tried to tell me a few things here and there but there was so much noisy traffic and people etc. (as well as a little bit of a language barrier) that I did not get anything at all from that rickshaw tour.

In the end we ended back at the hotel we started from within an hour, having only seen a table of onions, a rice store, and some random blurry 'from a rickshaw' images of the neighbourhood.

Again, sweet guide, horrible tour. I contacted Wonder Tours about how I got very little value for my money and requested a discount (as I really did not get a tour) however they did not respond.

What an amazing day! Padma was a phenomenal guide as she told me so many things about shopping for an indian wedding. We visited magnificent jewelry shops. The colorful silk saree shops were incredible. So were the roadside flower shops. The best part of the walk was the conversation and the perspective you get about Indian way of life. Do this. It's worth it

Mahabalipuram was always in my radar but I wasn't sure when I will be able to visit India. So when I saw this online tour on tripadvisor I signed up. I enjoyed the interaction with our guide who was at the world heritage site and called us over Zoom. He sh.owed us all the remarkable sculptures through the video call and we had some stimulating discussions as well. We saw the famous Arjuna penance bas relief as well as the majestic SeaShore temple. The ancient monuments are really out of this world in terms of the architecture and finesse in the carvings all made out of rocks! This is a tour worth the time. In one hour you get to experience the highlights of Mahabalipuram.
