If you have ever seen the US TV Show Mysteries at the Museum, that is kind of what you can expect from this tour. My guide, Kannan, was able to share incredible background and details about so many of the wonders I saw this past Saturday. Not just at the sites, but driving around all day, he shared great details and insights about things we were passing or were passing us. They let me sleep in the car, and then filled me in on what I may have missed. But, really, the best part was that, while people were casually walking past some amazing artifacts, Kannan had the details. There were many times other people would stand within earshot so they could hear what he was sharing. I get the impression that all of the people that work for the company are very similar to Kannan - that they take their roles as ambassadors for India very seriously. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

My friends and I were in Chennai for a wedding and wanted to see the sights on our last day in town. We only had a few hours and wanted to see the main sights without too much time spent in transit. I reached out Wonder Tours based on the reviews and received an email from Rajesh very quickly with suggested options and rates. The booking process was easy and transparent.

Rajesh organized a personalized, private tour for us to see four of the main sights, including transportation and lunch. What was nice was that Rajesh presented us with options so we could really tailor the itinerary to our tastes and it didn’t feel like a one-size-fits-all approach. All in all, this was the perfect way to see everything and finished off our trip to South India. The highlight was the delicious biryani lunch at this low-key place we would have never found for ourselves.

Rajesh in particular was great to work with, he responded to my emails very quickly and was patient when I had to change the party size twice. He showed up on time and communicated well with my group. I can’t recommend him and wonder Tours enough, really great experience all around.

This was a fascinating and wonderful day-trip to Auroville and Pondicherry. The local guide (Smiriti) was most informative with a great sense of history. Smiriti happily answered any additional questions or queries I had and would willingly take any photos at all of the stops. As it was a warm and humid day, there was always the offer of refreshments to maintain hydration. Thank you also to the driver. It was a comfortable journey in an air-conditioned vehicle and the driver offered rest stops in each direction of the trip.

It was a brilliant tour, stunning dances, interesting temple, Tharon was a great guide. He explained very clearly the religious history of the temple. Nice walk to St Thomas. Tharon even taught me the correct way to eat off a palm leaf, right hand only.

It was the start of Diwali break and we encountered a massive traffic jam near Hosur on the way to Kanchipuram. The most likely reason of the heavy traffic jam was an array of fire crackers shop near Hosur during Diwali . The drive to Kanchipuram was longer than usual but it was worth it. We took a quick break at Shri Krishna Inn near Shoolagiri. Though the restaurant was over crowded, the quality and taste of food compensated for the long wait. We reached Kanchipuram by 4 p.m and checked in at Sri Sakthi residency. It was a well maintained hotel with a restaurant at the ground floor. During our stay, we had our food at that restaurant. The food was good and you can explore authentic Tamil delicacies here. My personal favorite was Appam with coconut milk, meals (served in afternoon) and a Ayurvedic juice made of herbs. Since Kamakshi Amman temple was at a walkable distance, after a quick break we walked towards it. It is one of the Shakti Peeth and a beautiful temple with enticing scriptures on the temple walls. If you can walk for around 1 km, you can further walk to Ekambareshwar temple which is a Shiva temple. The lingam is made of sand and hence 'abhishek' is not done. Ekambareshwara means Lord of the mango tree. A lot of significance is found for the mango tree located in the centre of the temple. The temple is huge and we were lucky to witness the evening aarti. On the next day we visited the Kailasanatha temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the oldest temples in Kanchipuram. All the 3 temples are closed in the afternoon, but open early in the morning. There are lot of temples in Kanchipuram, in case you plan to explore them. I also observed that some houses were old and had the traditional touch which was very alluring. To commute locally, auto rickshaws are easily available in case you dont want to drive. Apart from temples, silk sarees are worth exploring.

We as family visited South India Temples through All India Packages. The trip was very well planned with good stay and arrangements. We are really thankful to Saba for 24*7 support. We had a great time at each temple, and we enjoyed a lot through all the trips. The chauffeur Gopi is a real gentle person and very much supportive. We can’t thank him enough for making our trip so memorable. In future We will choose again All India Packages as it is most trustable and value for money.

Ganesh was awesome. He helped us navigate stores as well as get all our tickets for the days activities! We had special requests for lunch due to allergies which he gladly honored these requests. He also didn’t take us to any shops where people try to sell us stuff that we truly didn’t want. We had a special request for a special item to take home and he negotiated for us and even got us extra items to give to friends. He was truly awesome and very accommodating! I would most definitely recommend a tour with Ganesh!
