We really enjoyed this tour with our guide Rajesh. We visited the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, the Saint Thomas Cathedral Basilica, and the Sriramakrishnamarmath Temple. Rajesh was very knowledgeable and friendly.

    100% recommended.
If you want to discover the temples, the gods and hindu culture this is the tour to get. The guide Manikanda was so respectful and generous in his sharing. It was the best guide I could have for my first step in discovering hinduism. He made me feel safe and welcome. Thank you Manikanda for the tour. Unforgettable.

It was a wonderful trip! What we really liked was that it was customised to our pace and preferences, so that we were able to spend time on the things that we liked. Our host, Satish, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We started at the Fort St George, and then moved on to Parry’s Corner, Armenian Church, and ended at Flower Bazar. We walked through the heart of colonial Madras and it was wonderful to navigate through the vibrant streets filled with heritage buildings, old churches and bustling bazaars. Thanks to 5 senses tours for giving us a memorable time!

This was my second tour with this company and also with Kannan, my tour guide, as I did the city tour the day before, and I also wrote a review. This trip was no exception and was excellent. Prompt pick up from my hotel, a safe driving experience, and an informative friendly tour guide makes all the difference!
Mahabalipuram was a fascinating experience and I could see why it was a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So be prepared to be "wowed" during the tour. I wanted some mementos, so Kannan arranged for me to pick up some rock carvings and a cashmere shawl on the way back.

    1) starting time and pick up location was changed by guide by text which I noticed only after arriving at pick up location
    2) starting time was changed from 8 to 8.30am but guide arrived only after 9 am.
No attempt was made to keep me updated for the delay but I had to make the calls
    3) The guide was courteous knowledgeable and patient. He made extra effort to explain my questions. He didn’t mind spending extra time.
I was the only person in the walk

Incredibly detailed and informative tour by Kannan!

No getting away from it this is a long day! Wear comfy lightweight clothes and comfy sandals/crocs as the first tow temples you need to remove your shoes.

It a 2 hour drive first to Kanchipuram where there is two temples, Kannan has great English and explains all about Hindi gods and sanctums and why the architecture is done in that way.

We did lunch in local restaurant which was really nice then headed along to mahabalopuram, there is 4 separate sights here all of which are quite incredible, varying from built out of same rock, stone on stone, different periods, different carvings it really is special!

and made the tour fun. The area was beautiful and Chandan was very knowledgable about the sculptures and stories. We will be returning to Chennai and look forward to booking another tour!

Great day tour, 7-8 hours in duration. Hareesh was a Knowledgeable guide. The highlight for me was the Vivekananda mini museum, which I loved. All the stops were interesting.

Sundari welcomed us into her home and amazing kitchen, in the midst of Pongal celebrations, and we are so blessed that she did because we had the best time of stories, recipes and delicious food. I especially liked the kitchen, pots , pans and the Sundari’s storytelling of the family history behind the recipes. My husband appreciated Sundari’s clear instructions and teaching her knowledge of all the spices. We both feel we have learnt a lot and could try them at home. We thoroughly recommend this unique experience as ‘must do in Chennai’.

I had an incredible experience with Sirvidya’s private vegetarian cooking class in Chennai! The one-on-one guidance was exceptional, and I learned to make delicious South Indian dishes using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques.

What made the experience even more special was Sirvidya’s help in finding unique ingredients at the end of the class, so I could take them home and recreate the dishes. A must-do for anyone looking to dive into authentic South Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!
