Top tips:
1) If you get a taxi, ask them to drop you off at the top of the hill, right by the entrance. We managed to get taken to the top by taxi so we could avoid having to either walk up the hill, ride an elephant or hire a jeep at extra expense. If you use Uber, the address is “Devisinghpura, Amer, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302028, India” rather than “Amber Palace”, as that location is at the bottom of the hill, by the main parking lot, jeeps for hire and elephant rides.
2) After you’ve bought your tickets, there are pay toilets on the right of the step leading to the entrance. Once you’ve entered, the toilets are at the end of your visit and these are also pay toilets. If you need the bathroom, I’d suggest using it before you enter. We used the pay toilets at the end of the visit. There wasn’t a set price, you can give what you feel you want to. Google maps didn’t show the location of the toilets but they are next to the cafe… there wasn’t any directional signage but they are there!Written 18 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And if you wish a more intimate look into the palace’s past and present, you can rent the Gudliya Suite through Airbnb. It includes a lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, private indoor swimming pool, and personal butler. Your expenditure will benefit a good cause as the proceeds from each stay are donated to the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation that supports rural women and artisans in Rajasthan.Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rjgm2015Oxshott, UK7 contributionsWonderful stay for my adult daughter's birthday treat. Best thing we did in India. Amazing safe ethical Elephant encounter and wilderness walk with the elephant. Birthday dinner in candlelight safari camp and the most comfortable safari tents with cosy hot water bottles and classic campaign furniture. Food divine especially the lunch in the main camp .Had sundowners overlooking beautiful scenery .Woke up to Elephant munching trees near our breakfast and lots of leopard footprints around the camp. Staff care deeply about their guests and elephants. Went on a jeep tour of the estate .A great escape from noisy Jaipur . Don't miss it .Written 2 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Katie B12 contributionsHighly recommend visiting Mathur and Whiskey if you’re looking to buy jewellery in Jaipur! I have worked extensively in the jewellery industry in the UK, so was very critical in my decision of where to buy jewellery and making sure to avoid scams, and that the stones I bought were authentic. This small store is completely independent, and doesn’t allow guides or tours to bring people here which is a great sign. The service was great and I spent several hours here looking at a wide range of stones, and they were able to have additional options delivered to the store aligned with what I was looking for.
I ended up ordering two custom rings one diamond and one an incredible red spinel which I instantly fell in love with. The designs are exactly as I requested - and they went above and beyond driving to Delhi to personally deliver the rings to me when they were complete.Written 6 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Vicky’s vehicle was always clean and well-stocked with bottled water and candies, and he strove to make our travel as comfortable as possible. He was also a highly-skilled driver that comfortably navigated a wide variety of roads and traffic conditions.
Vicky was very knowledgeable, answering any questions we had regarding the historic forts and palaces that we visited in each city. Furthermore, his suggestions on places to eat meals were never off the mark.
We had an enjoyable trip under Vicky’s care and would not hesitate to recommend him and the company for your travel needs.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
