This architectural marvel perfectly embodies Rajasthan's rich history and grandeur. Renowned for its unique design, Hawa Mahal's honeycomb façade, with its intricate latticework, left me in awe. It’s as if the palace transcends time, offering a glimpse into the past when royals would retreat here to enjoy the cool breeze and escape the intense desert heat. The palace's five levels provide a stunning vantage point, offering panoramic views of Jaipur’s bustling streets and vibrant city life.Written 23 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You need a guide that can explain the workings of each dial and then you mayncheck your watch or phone against the workings. There is a sundial with an accuracy of 20 seconds and one that measures to an amazing two seconds!! …. but one good visit is enough 😃

- Mobile241159155571 contributionThe temple is one the most beautiful temples in Jaipur city. The temple is dedicated to the deities Lakshmi and Narayana, the divine powers in hindu religion. The environment of the temple is peaceful and serene and is quite suitable for people to visit anytime safely. The architecture is magnificent and is made mostly of white marbel, which shows traditional elements and tranquility. The temple is constructed on a particular height to provide visiters with great views from the temple. The sunets and sunrises from the temple look stunning.Written 16 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Srujana OHyderabad, India133 contributionsJal Mahal, or the "Water Palace," is an architectural marvel located in the heart of Man Sagar Lake, Jaipur. The palace, constructed from elegant pink sandstone, appears to float effortlessly on the lake's surface, creating a magical sight, especially at sunset when the entire structure is bathed in a soft, warm pink hue as it reflects off the water. Interestingly, although Jal Mahal seems to be a one-story building, most of the palace is submerged underwater, giving it a mysterious allure.
Built in the early 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II, the palace was originally not intended to be a lavish residence but rather a hunting lodge where the Maharaja and his court could relax after a day of hunting on the lake. Some say it also served as a venue for royal celebrations and festivities. The intricate architecture of the palace, combined with its tranquil setting, adds to its charm, making it an enchanting sight from afar.
Today, visitors can’t enter the palace, but the surrounding area is still a favorite for photographers and tourists, as the view of the palace from the banks of the lake is simply stunning. Though you can’t step inside, Jal Mahal remains an unmissable part of Jaipur’s rich history and a symbol of the city's royal heritage, offering a peaceful and picturesque retreat away from the hustle of city life.Written 23 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She was sweet and gentle, and we were able to feed her, paint her, pet her, and visit with her as long as we wanted.
Our guide Moin greeted us with two other friendly colleagues, shared with us information about the elephants over chai, and stayed with us the entire visit (about 2.5 hours). Moin and his colleagues answered any questions we had, kept preparing food for us to give to Shoboh, and were happy to see us happy with the experience.
We were also able to visit with two other elephants and sets of visitors, which was fun for sharing the experience.
This was a great experience for adults and children alike, and Moin and his team made it easy to access, pay, and enjoy.

We went early morning and not too many around and was easier to walk around and get around shop keepers trying to get you in their shop.
Lots of items to see and we bargained a little bit but items are already quite reasonable anyway. We got a tuk tuk from our hotel who waited at the same spot for us after an hour. Wish I had have had more time to have a look around.Written 20 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. For me it was the historical clay yoga figures!! The building itself is beautiful and worth the entry fee alone. Signs inside in english so you don't need a guide. I loved how the plaques commemorating the building of the structure itself in 1887 also showed how much it cost.Written 3 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
