- Arpit AgarwalJaipur, India25 contributionsThis is a small hidden gem, located midway between Birla Mandir and Albert hall museum (on the right side as you walk). Local people also know this by name of “Gudiyaghar”. It is part of a school, and easy to miss. There is a small board painted on the wall. Very nice collection and Most of the local people are not aware of this. The ticket cost 10 Rs.

We were able to learn about the gemstone cutting and jewelry making processes and I thought it was very unique, unexpected, and interesting after seeing so many palaces and forts. I loved how different this experience was! I found a dainty emerald ring that I really liked but it was about $500 so I passed, as we were not prepared to be spending big bucks on the fly. It was worth going anyway and having the private tour, as we got to see and hold gems in their raw, natural form, learn about the zodiac signs and coordinating stones, and look around the gorgeous jewelry store that was covered in gems and beautiful painted details. If you’re looking to buy jewelry in Jaipur and are prepared to spend some money I would recommend doing it here. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.Written 21 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
