I had a great time on my food tour this morning. Vinayak was so responsive to make sure I had a good trip and Rhea, my guide, was wonderful, conversational and took me to some truly amazing places with a few “surprises” along the way. She was very knowledgeable about the history and the places to go.

You don’t need to think twice about booking this tour.

    Thank you team!

Had some great eats with Harshit, our local guide. Most of the food in Rajasthan is fried - the climate isn’t suitable for a lot of fresh fruits and veggies - so just something to be aware of when booking this tour. That being said, it was a great way to explore the city and the local cuisine. Harshit took us to some local gems that I would not have been comfortable trying on my own. He was very knowledgeable about the Indian cuisine in general and described each dish in detail. The tour was very efficient/fast-paced and we made it to 5-6 different places in under 2 hours.

We wanted to sample the best food Jaipur has to offer before venturing out into the city by ourselves. And this tour did not disappoint. Ali arrived promptly at our hotel to collect us in his 'award-winning' Tuk Tuk, before safely navigating the city's chaotic rush-hour traffic en route to our first stop. We ate (and drank) a wide range of local delights, including kachori, patasi, jalebi, lassi and chai (twice). As well as those things (which were all incredible), we appreciated Ali's chilled vibes as he showed us around his hometown and all of the places he likes to eat. He ensured that we tried everything we wanted to and continued to offer us more, even when we were full towards the end. We might just have to do it again!

A must for everyone travelling to Jaipur! You cannot experience a city without tasting it! 60% of culture can be captivated in the food and drink of a nation.
Our guide was tremendous, well-spoken and informative. The food stops were delightful, tasty, a good mix of sweet and savoury.

Rajasthani cuisine is a sensory journey of spice and flavor. Don't miss the Dal Baati, a hearty delight, Gatta Curry for a tangy kick, Ker Sangri for a unique taste, and the fiery Lal Maans for meat lovers. Pair these with crispy Kachoris and end your meal with the sweet indulgence of Ghewar. A true feast that captures the essence of Rajasthan!

I recently booked a food tour in Jaipur with Vedic walks, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to India! With a love for new cuisines, I was keen to experience authentic Indian food, and this tour delivered beyond my expectations.

Our guide, Pragya was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience so much more than just a "taste test" of local dishes. She shared the history and cultural significance behind every dish we tried, which gave us a much deeper appreciation for the cuisine and the city itself. We visited bustling local markets, hidden food stalls, and some traditional restaurants I never would have found on my own.

The food! Oh my goodness—the flavours were out of this world. We tried everything from spicy kachoris to sweet jalebis. I’m usually careful about street food when travelling, but everything felt safe, hygienic, and carefully chosen. The guide made sure to accommodate any dietary preferences in our group, which I really appreciated.

Thanks to Vedic Walks, Jaipur will always hold a special place in my heart (and stomach)!

    Cheers,
    Emily. :)

What a wonderful tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable about food and the history of the areas we visited. We could not eat everything!!! So many different sights, sounds and tastes over the whole day. Great value for money. Also taking all forms of transport and seeing all sides of life was a wonderful experience in itself.
