Everything was so comfortable from the well air conditioned car and we had available bottled water. Our driver Jolly was amazing and always went the extra mile. We had different tour guides for everyday but they were all amazing. Thanks again KV, Danish, and Choudhaary! Amit was also amazing and made sure to answer all of our queries and concerns. Everything was organized. As soon as we entered the car, we had a printed itinerary ready. So you’ll have an idea what’s going to happen plus the price of the tickets were already there so you can compute for your expenses in advance. The hotels were perfect for us. The Golden Triangle was simply amazing. Beautiful places! - Patricia NAdelaide67 contributionsI highly recommend this company Gopal was very professional and kept us updated throughout the organising of our tour and was flexible when we wanted to make a few changes , I found him to be professional and clear and concise . Our driver Surendra was outstanding and definately made our trip a pleasure his local knowledge and experience was such a bonus and he looked after us throughout the journey , I highly recommend him as an honest and trust worthy person who made us very comfortable and we got to know eachother along the way .
Hotels were good on the whole and we had a mix of traditional and modern accomodation , guides were good spoke english well and gave us alot of info on each site we visited . - BoardingPass7882651 contributionWe had a wonderful time traveling in Delhi and Agra with Rishi. He is very knowledgeable and knows the cities very well. We had booked a hotel that we didn't feel comfortable staying at, Rishi helped us get a new booking and drove us to the new place
We traveled with my 5 year old son who got sick en route. Rishi took us to a pharmacy to get some medicine. Rishi went out of his way to engage and play with my kiddo.
In Agra, he connected us with Nick, a Taj tour guide who pre-purchased tickets and shared so much knowledge.
We definitely recommend traveling with him. MJ the guide was very knowledgeable and informative and I learned a lot. They both took great photos for me. At the end we almost didn’t have time for Patrika gate but I really wanted to go so they made the effort to take me there to make me happy! - Berny Dcambridge32 contributionsOur trip with Golden triangle was a truly fabulous experience. We actually did a bespoke 14 day trip including Delhi, Jaipur, Pushkar, Agra, Rathambore, Khajuraho and Varanasi.
Our driver Ajay was the most kind and considerate driver. Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after us so well. He always welcomed us with a smile and I felt really safe with his driving at all times. He was particularly gentle with his driving when I hurt my back on a safari ( I have a bad back)and the lack of suspension caused me some problems. He drove carefully over bumps and was so considerate and thoughtful. He really was the best.
We were upgraded in terms of our vehicle and a few hotels which we were very happy about. The transport was so comfortable and spacious and the air con a blessing. When the air con stopped working one day, Ajay got it fixed by the next morning for our comfort.
The tour was so interesting, visiting so many temples and being educated about the way of life and culture of India. Some of the guides were better than others. Some concentrated too much on taking endless pictures of us whilst others were a little difficult to understand at times due to their speed of talking. We particularly enjoyed the guides in Khajuraho and at Fatehpur sikri. The hotels were all good and our lunch stops and we were pleased that none of us suffered with bad tummies at all. Because we were more interested in the culture and not so much the shopping I felt at times that the stops at shops was unnecessary particularly somewhere like the precious gems and I think the guides should take this on board.
Overall it was an amazing trip and I would highly recommend golden triangle as a company. Gopal is very quick to respond to any queries or change things on your request and it was a pleasure doing business with him. While seasoned travelers, this was our first time to India and we weren’t sure what to expect as a female couple. We need not have worried as everyone associated with this tour welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family.
We toured three cities and went on a jeep safari in Ranthanbhore National Park. David joined us in Delhi and had the perfect blend of explanation while allowing us time to leisurely explore the sites. While the Lotus Temple is closed on Mondays, the behind the scenes look at the Sikh temple more than made up for that.
We then traveled 3 hours by car to Agra where we stayed the night before Vijay met us for a sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal. His amazing photos will be treasured memories for years to come. He knew all the best spots and moved us through the crowd with ease, making sure we didn’t miss out on the best views and photo opportunities.
Perhaps the one disappointment was the jeep safari. This was not with the actual tour company but with a separate group with a permit to run tours through the National Park. We were put in a 20 person canter for both safaris rather than in a jeep. Despite staying very close to the park, it took 1 to 1.5 hours after picking up all of the other groups in the canter before arriving to the park. Not so bad in the cool morning but brutal in the afternoon sun. The safari guides seemed to have a fair amount of information but it was all in Hindi so we didn’t get much from the safari. Perhaps we would have felt different if we had seen a tiger. Had we been given the option, we would have happily paid a bit more for a jeep with an English speaking guide and I recommend you inquire about this ahead of time to avoid this same situation.
Our final stop was Jaipur. Any expectations we had were easily surpassed as our guide Ashok showed us around his beautiful city. He went above and beyond to explain not just the sights but also the culture of Jaipur. This was perhaps our favorite stop which was a surprise given the beauty of the Taj Mahal.
All accommodations were excellent and the included breakfasts, lunch and dinner were all great. The Tiger Resort near Ranthambhore was particularly amazing- great staff, pool and meals. Despite the disappointing safari we would have happily spent another night here.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the very best part of our tour which was our driver, Kuldeep. He wove through the traffic (people, cars, scooters, dogs and oh so many cows) with ease, all the while answering our questions about the tour, sights from the road and life and culture in India.
Overall, 5 stars for this tour. A great way to see the golden triangle. While we did not see any tigers, many people did and this would just have been the icing on the cake. The hotels were clean, well equipped, had very good breakfast and friendly staff (The Fern in Jaipur had no working wifi unfortunately)
Our driver was Anil, he was very friendly, drove safely, waited for us when we went somewhere and was always on point.
We had three guides:
Sedhei Sharma who took us around Delhi, she arranged the sightseeing so we could do things we hadn’t done before.
Kamlesh Kumar Soni was our guide in Jaipur, very knowledgable and informative.
Both of them spoke good English, and wanted to show us the real India not just skip from sight to sight.
The tickets to the sights aren’t included in the tour packet and be prepared to tip most people you come across.
Altogether it was a very pleasant experience, thank you.
