Beautiful gate in the city of Mumbai, the surrounding area during the day can get extremely busy. At night, there is hardly anyone around and you can take some lovely photos

Marine Drive is a beautiful seaside promenade with the Arabian Sea on the one side and the bustling megacity, Bombay passing by. When I visited there was construction underway on a portion of the promenade but there were walkaways that had ben erected for safe walking. It is most visited by locals, seniors on walks and young people all dressed up in their finest. It is a great place to people watch

Nice drive over the ocean, worth coming during the night as you'll see the lights of the city and can take good videos and photos of the bridge when it's all lit.

Simply impressive. It reminds of the glorious times of this part of the world and the majestic architecture. The walk in the area all the way to the gateway is absolutely worth it. Just choose the time and temperature wisely. If you’re not used it, you’ll swear your eyes off.

I had recent been to Monsoon Midnight cycling or Midnight Cycling Tour with Mischief Treks. This event was a totally awesome experience, its a good way to explore MUMBAI and it's major attractions in a different way. I would like to share the details about the event it starts at 11pm on saturday from Colaba and ends the other day at 4 in the Morning. People who would like to join in for the event can do so by booking it from their Website. Now coming to my experience, we were a bunch of girls who went to the event as we wanted to see the nightlife of mumbai. Earlier our parents were skeptical to let us go out at night but they did allow us and let me tell you guys the event leader made us feel safe throughout the event. We had common names, such a coincidence haha. Jahnvi did exceptionally good on her role, her passion for her work and dedication is really commendable. She and Nitesh from Mischief Treks team managed the entire event well. The event leds were friendly, calm, approachable and helped us to gel up with everyone easily , this made the entire event experience way better. The timing was perfect, event started according to the itinerary and ended on the perfect time. We got to hear alot of stories from the leads. They were really careful about the safety and security of each individual and gave us a safety and instruction briefing before we started the tour. Once everyone reached we got our Cycles. The cycles too were in extremely good conditions.
We started from Colaba around 11:30 and covered places mentioned in their itinerary, like Nariman point, Marine Lines, Girgaon Chowpatty, Hanging Garden, CSMT, Flora Fountain, Asiatic Library, Gateway of India and Taj Hotel. The locations mentioned were covered within time paying proper attention to good amount of break for people to rest. We had some amazing bunch of people with us. We got to know different like minded people on the event, made few new friends, learnt about people and their experiences from different walks of life. They were also particular about small batch size for safety reasons, I loved this idea and many times organisers end up taking 50-100 people on an event and small batch size is a major contributor for good experience.
I'll sum up this review by saying that if you are someone who wishes to experience night life of mumbai whether you are new to mumbai, traveling here for work, or stay in mumbai since long this event is something which you should definitely try. It's worth the time and money invested. Kudos to the Mischief Trek Team for arranging such events. I got to know on the tour that they specialise into treks, camping and tours too and after my NIght cycling experience with them I'm surely looking forward to doing many more events with them.
Hoping you find this review helpful, anyone reading this have a nice day!!

This is a very interesting museum tracing the life of Mahatma Gandhi from India, to South Africa, and back to India again. It is very well done. The dioramas are somewhat simple, but the Museum does an excellent job of condensing the high points of Gandhi’s life in a way that all ages can understand. We stayed for an hour and it was well worth the time.

Awe inspiring monolithic cave structure with exquisite carving of Hindu Gods. This 6th century creation with intricate placing of pillars and geometrically well thought out to align with Sun makes you appreciate the artistry of hand tools, knowledge of astronomy of that period. Even though invaders destroyed the base of pillars, cave did not collapse due to monolithic construction of cave ! Hiring a local guide ($10-$15) is highly recommended to understand the history, methods, reasoning and logic of various stone cut sculptures. Guide also takes ur pics at various points ! Couple of hours are enough and it’s better to take morning ride to have uncrowded space at site.

It’s a little steep hike with 120 steps and humble locals has set up snacks / souvenirs shops around it. The boats are mediocre and ride is slow as it takes an hour one way. Wish they get better and faster boats.

We visited the Global Pagoda and must say it was one to not forget.

It is a little away from main Mumbai and one has to travel quite a bit to reach there. But it is worth every bit.

There is the main pagoda which can house thousands of meditators to practice meditation. There are gardens and also a special room showing the life of Gautam the Buddha via paintings. There are souvenir shops where one can buy some good items.

There is enough to do and see for atleast 3-4 hours.

We need to ensure that we maintain silence and wear appropriate clothing while around the main dome, as this is a place where we might find people meditating in the dome, and should not disturb them.

The caves themselves are amazing. The security guards will keep harassing you however - constantly interrupting asking if you want a photo or telling you things about the caves (and then demanding a hefty tip despite not asking for assistance!). The site ‘cafeteria’ sold us out of date drinks too - it’s pretty horrid so I’d advice taking your own food/drink.

It's one of the most famous church in Mumbai located about 80 meters above sea level on a hillock with beautiful view of Arabian Sea. It was originally built in 16th century. The current structure is about 100 years old. T he beautiful shrine of Mother Mary with Baby Jesus is full of divine grace. The people of all faith come here from all over the world. On every 8th of September. a weeklong fair takes place when thousand of devotees visit this place.

I nearly missed added a review for this as I was looking under the old name of Prince of Wales museum and hadn't realised they'd changed it. No matter, I certainly would recommend visiting here. It is often overlooked but is, I think, a hidden gem, of this vast city.
There are a wide range of different exhibits to browse at your leisure, from ancient temple carvings to textiles to homewares, hunting artefacts and everythng in between. A nice mix of things rather than other museums that can be quite specific. I especially liked the intricately carved weapon handles and hunting flasks and to see them close up. You can take photos as you go, no restrictions.
Can certainly spend a few hours here as you discover further side rooms down little passages and the gardens are also stunningly well kept. Good toilets too!

The causeway just really busy with newer shops as well as a street market and plenty of restaurants. It is quite an experience since the place is very packed with stalls on either side of the footpath, so pedestrians have a narrow path to go in either direction. The road is quite busy, but some people were walking on the street side, but you do lose the experience.
The stalls sell a variety of items like clothes and accessories to pans and fruit. The shops are also accessible if you're able to get through the crowds to the store entrances.
There are plenty of things to experience around here and worth a visit if you're in the area, particularly if you have come from the Gateway of India.
