- Egle B10 contributionsMe and my husband took the Shantaram Tour in Mumbai in October 2024, and we couldn't be happier with the experience.
Our guide Kumar was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He shared fascinating stories and insights at every stop, making the novel "Shantaram" (my best-ever read book, based on a true story) come to life right before our eyes.
An exciting detail is that Kumar is actually the nephew of the real Prabaker, who was Shantaram's guide in the book, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.
We visited some iconic locations mentioned in the book, such as Sagar Wada Slum, Leopold's Café, Sassoon Dock, and many others. Kumar's storytelling ability truly captivated us, and we left with a deeper appreciation for the city and its people.
We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Mumbai through the lens of "Shantaram." It was an unforgettable experience, and Kumar was a fantastic guide who added immense value to our journey.

- Jane M24 contributionsWe went on the village tour with Javed. It was a whole day tour from 8 am till approximately 6pm. We went on a Ferry to Mandwa and then a bus to Alibag beach and market. We got to eat Vada Pav, go to the Lotus lake and see women washing their family's clothes, see brick making, go to a local school, have lunch with a village family in their home, visit the tribal village and then see the piranha lake! It was an incredible day and I'm so thankful to have had this opportunity. Our guide, Javed, was amazing, friendly and super informative. The entire tour was custome planned for us by Nature explorers India group(NEI) and every aspect of it was very well managed , be it the stay, food, gypsys for the safari, pick up and drop etc. There was absolutely no hassles and tension during the whole tour. The team of NEI led by Prathamesh Desai and comprising of Tushar Khanna, Vrunda, Jogi, was always courteous and responded to every query of mine. They were always clear in their explanations and never had any ambiguity. Even during the tour they were constantly in my touch and enquired about how the tour was going on and if We had any kind of problems. - AnandMumbai, India11 contributionsWe asked Countryside to curate a trip for us (3 families including two young adults and two kids) to Japan and incorporate cultural experiences, culinary experiences, some outdoor activity and activities for kids. The team did live upto the expectations. We had a flawless trip and moved around no. of cities. The guides were supportive and were always receptive our suggestions and were happy to share their recommendations.
What they couldn't do was ensure we had full bloom of cherry blossom during our visit.. ;).. though we were able to experience it in piecemeal..

We went with our kids ages 12 and 15 and he was a great family guide as well. The experience has been exhilarating sighting so many marine species with help of Sachin. His zeal to search for species is never ending. Thank you for organizing and conducting this tour. I loved to see all the species but sighting four different species of sea slugs was just great. - Michael H3 contributionsI visited Mumbai earlier this week with some co-workers and I had a day to tour around before our business meetings and I had to move on to Italy. Viren took us around the slums and gave us an eye-opening tour of the real Mumbai. He's a talker so he shared a TON of information about the area while he walked us around and facilitated connections with locals.
He casually mentioned getting tailored shirts in Mumbai and I actually need some work shirts so I asked him if he could facilitate. He generously took me to an amazing tailor, waited while I picked out shirts and fabrics, and then brought me back.
