- Alexa B1 contributionThis tour was a perfect first day in Mumbai! Our guide, Gurmit, was kind, knowledgeable, flexible and fun. We could tell Gurmit really likes what he does and that made seeing this amazing city even more incredible. We saw so many sights- Hanging Gardens, Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mount Mary Badilica, Marine Drive, Dhobi Ghat. We haggled our way through spice and fruit markets and ate delicious Alphonso mangoes. All this PLUS a delicious lunch at Cafe Metro (best Naan, Dahl abd Rose petal icecream ever!). I add my voice of praise to the incredible service they are performing to their city and it’s multifaceted and multilayered realities. By introducing and opening up this buzzling city to a total stranger in a gracious and patient way. The incredible team of Vinita, Parveen and Muzaffar that I’ve walked, talked and shared numerous meals with, has been patient and gracious with me and my thousands of questions. From the colonially affluent South Bombay and Malabar Hill that caters to the richest to the entrepreneurial slum of Dharavi and from the early morning flower and fish markets to the late afternoon stroll around the South Indian Matunga area after a lucious local lunch of a banana leaf you opened your city and it’s culture, sights, smells and tastes to me and offered your friendship and insights in conversations about life and living. Thank you for a magical two days, where you took me through the mirror and in to the Magic on the other side. It's rooftop location is a great vantage point for admiring Mumbai's skyscrapers. The staff is friendly and the international bar snacks are excellent. Expensive, but you'd expect that and maybe it's worth it.
Be aware that this is NOT accessible. I had booked the day tour, night tour, & cooking class tour. It was most productive because we had a tour guide, private driver, food and lots more! The tour guide & tours were extremely authentic and made me feel like I got the TRUE local Indian experience. The tour guide went above & beyond to ensure our safety and a wholesome experience. Including the best recommendations during & after the tours. He also customized it to our wants/needs. If you want to see TRUE India, you must book this tour!

He probably knows everything about Bombay but what makes the difference is that he wants you to love his city as much as he loves it, not just to know every historical fact about it. He makes you see what you wouldn’t have seen; he makes you connect with people; he makes you feel the city and try to understand how it is to live there. The language, the religion, the culture, the way people interact with each other … Definitely recommend visiting Mumbai with Viren!
Viren is not the typical guide and it makes all the difference.
A friend of mine recommended him to me and I couldn’t recommend him enough to you.
