Awe inspiring monolithic cave structure with exquisite carving of Hindu Gods. This 6th century creation with intricate placing of pillars and geometrically well thought out to align with Sun makes you appreciate the artistry of hand tools, knowledge of astronomy of that period. Even though invaders destroyed the base of pillars, cave did not collapse due to monolithic construction of cave ! Hiring a local guide ($10-$15) is highly recommended to understand the history, methods, reasoning and logic of various stone cut sculptures. Guide also takes ur pics at various points ! Couple of hours are enough and it’s better to take morning ride to have uncrowded space at site.

It’s a little steep hike with 120 steps and humble locals has set up snacks / souvenirs shops around it. The boats are mediocre and ride is slow as it takes an hour one way. Wish they get better and faster boats.

We visited the Global Pagoda and must say it was one to not forget.

It is a little away from main Mumbai and one has to travel quite a bit to reach there. But it is worth every bit.

There is the main pagoda which can house thousands of meditators to practice meditation. There are gardens and also a special room showing the life of Gautam the Buddha via paintings. There are souvenir shops where one can buy some good items.

There is enough to do and see for atleast 3-4 hours.

We need to ensure that we maintain silence and wear appropriate clothing while around the main dome, as this is a place where we might find people meditating in the dome, and should not disturb them.

The caves are really impressive and Sanjay National Park was lush and green. It was such a nice getaway from the noise and crowds of the city. I went with a tour guide, but you could easily do this on your own.

Visited this after it being recommended online. It was busy but peaceful. Beautiful area and helpful people around. Couldn't find anything more substantial to eat than fruits and different nibbles. Toilets clean. Went on the short but worthwhile safari to see the lions and tigers, incredible experience! A must for everyone! Same entrance price for everyone and no tourist inflated prices!!

We booked this tour with our 3 children, so it was a challenge to keep them happy and interested . Our Guide was Dev. He was so friendly and caring it was unbelievable. He helped us with the kids crossing the streets always keeping us safe. He showed us all the important spots here in Mumbai. He was always relaxed and smiling. He newer rushed us and knew a lot about Mumbai and it’s history. Dev was definitely the perfect guide in such a vibrant city as Mumbai. When we return we definitely book Dev again and I would surely recommend him to my best friends and family. Five stars for Dev!!

I absolutely loved this shop. Lots of wonderful and unique artistic treasures to be found here, especially if you appreciate stationary. The store manager was super friendly and solicitous.

This tour was a perfect first day in Mumbai! Our guide, Gurmit, was kind, knowledgeable, flexible and fun. We could tell Gurmit really likes what he does and that made seeing this amazing city even more incredible. We saw so many sights- Hanging Gardens, Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mount Mary Badilica, Marine Drive, Dhobi Ghat. We haggled our way through spice and fruit markets and ate delicious Alphonso mangoes. All this PLUS a delicious lunch at Cafe Metro (best Naan, Dahl abd Rose petal icecream ever!). Thank you to Rahil Khan (founder and director of the Tour company) and Gurmit (aka Tiger) for a day we’ll treasure for a long time.

Rahul gave us a tour through Dharavi and it was super exciting seeing the business and all the faces in the slum from poor to business owners.

Also we felt really safe carrying our photo equipment, because he is local and was aware of all the views from the locals.

Thanks for the great tour. Fully recommended!

I took the off-beat Mumbai experience and it was perfect in every way. These guys are really helpful, know the city and are attentive and supportive. The guide, Umar, was really good, and the driver, Ayub was quite good (if you know how traffic is in Mumbai, I am sure that you can appreciate travelling with a good and patient driver).

I do not know if I will have the chance of taking another tour but, definitely, if I have the time before going back to Spain, I will do it with them. They cost a fraction of other agencies and pay back what they promise.

    People making a honest living.
    Small but good place
Kind people and conduct good massages.
It’s not about the money spent on a massage, but it’s about money spent for more than it’s value.
These people are visually challenged and have found a way to be beneficial to society and give back to society as well, through the organization and the kind lady who started it.

    Good massages
    Kind and humble people
Brings peace of mind and felt fulfilled.
Will book again on my next trip to Mumbai

The tour that Amish put together for our very diverse group was fantastic.
A relaxed, and very informative tour of South Bombay catered for all our needs.
Just loved the snippets of information on culture added in along the way.
Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the laundry - what a place.
We had a deaf colleague with us and even he was well included in the outing.
Thank you for an excellent day and the delicious meal!
