- VINITA DUGAD4 contributionsEssel World is one of the oldest Amusement parks in India, I have know. Along with Appu Ghar and Fantasy Land, but this one survived.
I have visited Essel World more than 10 times, and it never gets old. The rides are average but yes, they have added a few more rides as the competition has increased.
This is good chillout amusement park, not so thrilling but mid-thrill rides and nicely maintained place.

- Priyanka9987Mumbai, India526 contributionsI have been to Water Kingdom many times from school and as a kid and its so much fun even now. Almost 20 years later, back to the same place, with kids and their parents – the place is the same. The whole experience was a lot of fun and we enjoyed all the rides and the wave pool particularly. There are adult, kid and family rides, so go with a group to enjoy everything.
From the entrance, to the left is Amazonia – with adult rides followed by Wetlantic in the centre for everyone. To the right of this is The Lagoon for kids and Mississippi Hill (adult rides) with a small gliding slide for kids. At the back of the Wetlantic is the lazy river along with Goofers Lagoon for kids.
There are lots of dining options with some good and not so good food options. We had lunch at Food Wharf where the Thali and dosas were good. The pav bhaji and Bhature of Chole Bhature was okay. Stay hydrated and there are lots of water coolers to fill water from and washrooms at various junctures within the place. Also, do try the fish pedicure. It was my 1st experience and was really nice at the end of the day.
Things to avoid:
1. The rain dance place is really bad, with no lighting and smell with very less water
2. Some slides need maintenance and are a bit worn out
3. Avoid vacations and Sundays, very crowded and the water gets dirty very easily
4. Also, with crowds waiting time is 30mins for each ride, so you spend a lot of time waiting
Tips:
1. Go early by the time the park opens to get the best of the rides. Takes 1-1.5 hours to reach there via Ferry+tickets+Changing, so plan accordingly
2. Board ferry from Marve or Gorai. Its Rs. 70-100 pp
3. The passport option (2 trips to Water Kingdom + 1 to Bird Park) @ 1,500/- per annum is better that 1 trip @ 1,250 for Adults and 875 for kids
4. Book directly there, its seamless and better
5. Outside food is not allowed, even biscuits. Carry your steel bottle for water if required
6. Try to do the rides at the onset so that after lunch you can laze in Wetlantic or lazy river
7. Carry sunscreen, coconut oil, towels, change of clothes
8. Wear Nylon or polyester clothes
9. You can buy clothes, floats and other accessories at shops there
10. Before entering the rides oil yourself up with coconut oil as the chlorine water can darken your skin after being in it for whole day
11. The lockers are big enough for one 4-member family’s clothes @ 200per locker
12. Carry waterproof ziplock for phones, credit card and money
13. Do the fish pedicure at the end of the day (@100 pp for 15 mins)
14. With children, have a couple of adults take care of them at the slides and Wetlantic and others can go and enjoy the adult ride. Hence, go with a group for sure

Recently came to Mumbai and went to visit the mystery rooms with friends. These rooms give you the full package with thrills, fun, intelligence and scares. We did 3 rooms which included “Cabin in the woods”, “Silent Legacy” and “A night in Bhangrah”.
Cabin in the woods was a room which seemed small but it was enormous when you went ahead. I definitely recommend taking 3 people minimum for maximum efficiency. This room was perfect for beginners with all necessary thrills. The clues given were helpful and the staff was always helpful.
For Silent legacy however it challenged our minds making us escape the room a bit slower than the others. It seemed like a small room but let me assure you there are surprises! The room challenges with your mind and chills you with the matching music.
Lastly a Night in Bangarh was the most fun and unexpected room that I had done. The different elements with sensor based thrills will surely get a shrill to your senses.
To conclude I would highly recommend coming to these mystery rooms to energize your thinking and have a day which is fun and investing in all types of ways. The staff are kind and welcoming in rooms and in the general assembly.Written 18 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kourosh K31 contributionsI had the privilege of taking a private 1-on-1 tour of Dharavi with Sneha, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we began, Sneha’s deep knowledge of the area, its people, and its rich history shone through. She was not only incredibly informative, but also respectful and sensitive to the local culture and the complexities of life in one of the world’s most famous slums.
Sneha took the time to explain the various industries thriving within Dharavi, from pottery to recycling, and helped me understand how this vibrant community is so much more than its stereotypes. Her genuine connection with the locals made the experience feel personal and authentic, and I felt safe and well-cared for throughout the tour.
What stood out most was Sneha’s passion for telling the stories of the people who call Dharavi home, offering insights that I would have never gained on my own. It was clear she genuinely cares about educating visitors and promoting respect and understanding.
I highly recommend Sneha for anyone looking to gain a deeper, more nuanced perspective of Dharavi. This tour was a highlight of my trip to India, and I’ll never forget it. Thank you, Sneha!Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
