It is a must see and agreed with a previous review that the place is super crowded. We went during a festival when they were projecting the history of India on the gateway, with music. It was amazing.

Visiting the Siddhivinayak Temple was an enlightening experience. The architecture is stunning, and the atmosphere is filled with devotion and peace. Our guide provided insightful information about the temple's history and significance, enhancing our understanding of its cultural importance. The rituals and prayers we witnessed were profoundly moving. Despite the crowd, the organization and management were impressive, making the visit smooth and memorable.

Thank you, Mumbai Tour Vision, for arranging this visit. It was a deeply spiritual experience that we will cherish forever.

Essel World is one of the oldest Amusement parks in India, I have know. Along with Appu Ghar and Fantasy Land, but this one survived.

I have visited Essel World more than 10 times, and it never gets old. The rides are average but yes, they have added a few more rides as the competition has increased.

This is good chillout amusement park, not so thrilling but mid-thrill rides and nicely maintained place.

    Location : Mumbai
    Ticket : 900 Rs.
How to reach : BY car, bus or Ferry.

Born and brought up in Santacruz, we have frequented this beach like our father's property, since horses and camels rode with children on their backs. This visit was after 4-5 years, post covid.
We entered the beach from on of the southern gates, opp Bloom Hotels. The crowd was less, the sand was good. We walked towards the main beach front, and it got more and more crowded. Yes it was a Friday night, but trust me, the amount of people, and the filth they created, was unimaginable. Plastic wrappers, bottles, broken slippers, eaten coconuts and corn stubs; even plastic straws that are banned. To top it off, we ate at those brightly lit pav bhaji and gola restaurants. All of us had bloating feeling for the next 2 days. Millions eat there though! We chose a gola guy who claimed to use packaged water, was a bit more expensive than the others.
Verdict, juhu beach, avoid during weekends. Eating at those restaurants, completely avoid. There are a few very good bars and restaurants around, try them. Pure veg also available.

This is such an underrated place...
I went in Feb so it was dry and not lush but beautiful nonetheless. I've been to Buddhist caves in many countries in Asia but this was one of the most impressive by the shear size of some.
I was lucky to have a security guard take me around skipping to the best caves, providing simple indights into Buddhist life 2000 years ago and the use of rooms and shortcutting to the top. Worth the obligatory handout at the end. He demonstrated the auditory delight that is mediative chanting from cave to cave- if you're by yourself you HAVE to do.
It's only from the top with the perspective of dustance that you can truly appreciate the overwhelming size that is Mumbai- wow!

I hired a bike for the 5km in-it was hot but could ride almost the whole way (last 200m was fairly steep without gears- hint double check the chain is tight before leaving- mine kept falling off. Not a massive hassle but if you're not used to bike repairs it could be a long walk).

About an hour from Mumbai- I took an uber rental but there was plenty of transport up there so you can easily just get a tuk tuk and find one back or a taxi.

Final hint- stretch out- you're in for some steps..

Sanjay Gandhi National park a green oasis in the concrete jungle we call Mumbai

    Positives

History in the form of Kanheri caves with the friendly BEST buses available with good frequency for the visit

Safari well organised and we got to see a Lion and 2 tigers, so paisa vasool

Cool atmosphere with windy weather a relief from the Mumbai heat

A beautiful souvenir shop near the entry/exit

Cycling facility avail plus golf cart/buggy

    Negatives

The washrooms near the bus boarding for Kanheri need drastic improvement

The Vanrani toy train services not running

No guide services for Kanheri caves or the park itself

Didn’t see any organised cafeteria only the hawkers selling fruits and murmura

While staff is helpful there could be more people involved in the overall park upkeep and tourism

    1. It is 4.2 km long and it has a different vibe whenever you go there. It has a great view of city. Just driving here is a different feeling. I started from Worli sea link and come to nariman point.
    2. Lot of hotels are there and all of them have queue.
    3. On one side you will have sea shore and on another side we have marine drive. You will this place many times in bollywood movies. Lot of movies are shot here.
    4. It is open throughout the day and parking charges are high.
