Lovely walk, very atmospheric and a great place to people watch. We were asked for lots of pictures and appeared in many cleverly angled selfies but that’s India (and indeed Asia) for you.

Amazing views..Architectural marvel! You can't stop the vehicle on the sea link highway. Immediately after crossing, there is a view point from where one can take pictures.

I’d like to give a huge shout out to Umaar (not totally sure I remember the spelling right) who was single handedly manning the airtel booth at terminal 2, at 3am. He had a couple of phones in his hand and he was multitasking, attending to 2 customers at the same time! Checking our passports and visas, taking our passport size pics, getting our sim activated etc. Around 4am, we were told the air tel communication was down. He decided to go have his break but when he saw the long queue he stayed on as his heart wouldn’t let him do that. A colleague brought him some eats. To eat it he would need 2 more hands! Finally around 4.45 I got a new sim. Can’t thank you enough Umaar. (He told us he was alone there as his colleague was away on Diwali break).

This is a very interesting museum tracing the life of Mahatma Gandhi from India, to South Africa, and back to India again. It is very well done. The dioramas are somewhat simple, but the Museum does an excellent job of condensing the high points of Gandhi’s life in a way that all ages can understand. We stayed for an hour and it was well worth the time.

Nariman Point is the last point of Mumbai & a great place to watch sunsets. In addition you can have a pleasant walk as well as some snacks sold by vendors.

One has to buy a camera permit, security of course. But for a few hours, a beautiful building, extraordinary art and exhibits. A small area to buy a drink. Nice grounds. Even if art isn't your thing, there is something for everyone to see.

It's one of the most famous church in Mumbai located about 80 meters above sea level on a hillock with beautiful view of Arabian Sea. It was originally built in 16th century. The current structure is about 100 years old. T he beautiful shrine of Mother Mary with Baby Jesus is full of divine grace. The people of all faith come here from all over the world. On every 8th of September. a weeklong fair takes place when thousand of devotees visit this place.

After checking in the Hotel Bawa, Mumbai we wanted to visit Wax Museum situated within the premises of R city Mall in Ghakoper and reached there by about 2 PM but we were disappointed to know that the Wax Museum had been closed although there was no information on Google Website about the closure of this museum. So we just went around the R city Mall and found it be very spacious with several posh stores and many restaurants in Food Zone. We came to know that this Mall is one of the largest Malls in Mumbai and houses more than 200 stores spread over an area of about 1.2 million square feet. What we best liked here is a spacious book store selling variety of books and a fine dispaly of books subject wise. There are many cinema halls and areas for entertainment for people of all ages and We also took food in a vegetarian restaurnt in the Food Zone, where we got seat after a long wait as it was very much crowded. Of course, the food quality was just average. For shopping, we found the items to be quite costly. The Mall has many Rest Rooms and they are clean snd very well maintained. I have visited several Malls in Hyderabad, Delhi, Benguluru, Ahmedabad and other Indian cities but I rank it 'The Best' and even comparable to The Great Mall in San Francisco. It has ample parking area also.

I have been to Water Kingdom many times from school and as a kid and its so much fun even now. Almost 20 years later, back to the same place, with kids and their parents – the place is the same. The whole experience was a lot of fun and we enjoyed all the rides and the wave pool particularly. There are adult, kid and family rides, so go with a group to enjoy everything.
From the entrance, to the left is Amazonia – with adult rides followed by Wetlantic in the centre for everyone. To the right of this is The Lagoon for kids and Mississippi Hill (adult rides) with a small gliding slide for kids. At the back of the Wetlantic is the lazy river along with Goofers Lagoon for kids.
There are lots of dining options with some good and not so good food options. We had lunch at Food Wharf where the Thali and dosas were good. The pav bhaji and Bhature of Chole Bhature was okay. Stay hydrated and there are lots of water coolers to fill water from and washrooms at various junctures within the place. Also, do try the fish pedicure. It was my 1st experience and was really nice at the end of the day.

    Things to avoid:
    1. The rain dance place is really bad, with no lighting and smell with very less water
    2. Some slides need maintenance and are a bit worn out
    3. Avoid vacations and Sundays, very crowded and the water gets dirty very easily
    4. Also, with crowds waiting time is 30mins for each ride, so you spend a lot of time waiting

    Tips:
    1. Go early by the time the park opens to get the best of the rides. Takes 1-1.5 hours to reach there via Ferry+tickets+Changing, so plan accordingly
    2. Board ferry from Marve or Gorai. Its Rs. 70-100 pp
    3. The passport option (2 trips to Water Kingdom + 1 to Bird Park) @ 1,500/- per annum is better that 1 trip @ 1,250 for Adults and 875 for kids
    4. Book directly there, its seamless and better
    5. Outside food is not allowed, even biscuits. Carry your steel bottle for water if required
    6. Try to do the rides at the onset so that after lunch you can laze in Wetlantic or lazy river
    7. Carry sunscreen, coconut oil, towels, change of clothes
    8. Wear Nylon or polyester clothes
    9. You can buy clothes, floats and other accessories at shops there
    10. Before entering the rides oil yourself up with coconut oil as the chlorine water can darken your skin after being in it for whole day
    11. The lockers are big enough for one 4-member family’s clothes @ 200per locker
    12. Carry waterproof ziplock for phones, credit card and money
    13. Do the fish pedicure at the end of the day (@100 pp for 15 mins)
    14. With children, have a couple of adults take care of them at the slides and Wetlantic and others can go and enjoy the adult ride. Hence, go with a group for sure
    Happy travels!!

Very popular destination at the weekend, a place for lots of locals to relax by the coastline. Which means that it does get extremely busy and full. At night around 11pm is probably a good time to visit, it's a lot calmer but like any cities just watch out for belongings - overall it's very safe in a group.
